NotW XXXI: It's a Long Story (Game Thread)

(S'all right, it's daytime. We're sleeping.)

((Just a notice: I will be out of town for the next 48 hours at the least, possibly more))

NOTE: Apparently, there has been some discussion regarding the results of the Undercouncil decision. Several people's income was affected, but this has nothing to do with how you voted.

Undercouncil decisions can positively or negatively effect your character, but that is based on how the decisions interfaces with your role in a variety of ways. Voting for the losing side will not lose you money, and voting for the winning side will not gain you money, nor any of the other effects the decision can provide.

Thanks!

I am more and more confused by this game. We don't act during the day phases? What do I do with money? Why am I so bloated?

*unsnaps his pants*

If there's no "innocent" team, that means you're all guilty. I, of course, am always innocent, so you shouldn't vote for me. :p

Or, wait... I'm also guilty. ;) You shouldn't vote for me because I'm your guilty pal.

No wait... Because I can make you a cheese danish, and get bloated with me.

No?

K I'll be quiet then.

Spoiler :
In all seriousness I am confused.

Spoiler :
And bloated.

Spoiler :
*BELCH*

The undercouncil meets during the night. They "sleep" during the day.

No team is the "innocent" team. Everyone in this game has an agenda. If you are in need of some sort of moral compass, teams that are aligned with the interests of the Undercouncil are your "innocent" teams, and teams that appear to be acting against the interests of the council's continued existance are "wolves", but you will find little sympathy either way as the council represents a collection of the world's most scoundrelish miscreants.

Money has a variety of uses - if you can't figure out if you have a use for it, you don't. They're obvious. Other people will gladly take yours, I imagine, if you don't want it. In that case, they are useful as bargaining chips.

More or less, you are in the wolf den. :]

Okay thanks. I think I understand now. But as a bloated councilman, I am quite interested in money. Oh yes, my loyalties can be bought and sold. Please give me money.

I need it so I can pay off this crown that I put on my Mastercard. Then they jacked up my rates!!! :king:

no pizzaman talking all over the place, organising townie groups and whatever, now this!

Well there's no townie groups to organize and I don't have any way of distinguishing friend from foe.

Other than the almighty coin, of course.

NotW XXXI: Evening Two

As everyone flowed into the chambers that housed the council, it became very obvious who would not be attending this day's meeting. Impaled on the far wall of the voting hall, Krill now hung lifeless. It was difficult to truly determine what had actually killed him, as both his throat was slit and a polished marble rod steadfastly held him to the wall from which he hung, but it was clear he had been dead for some hours.

Some of the Stronger councilors managed to unpin the poor fellow, but as they removed the staff it began to glow a dim light at its tip, masked only by the congealed blood that covered the entire thing. A bit of investigation and with the evidence of the rod itself, it was determined that...
Spoiler :
Krill, the Empyrean Vicar, was working with the Hazlett Town Guards!

Some magical inquiries revealed that the Staff was not only obviously magical in nature, but in fact the Staff of Lugus. Like all things, its new owner would be settled by a vote.

Also on the dead Vicar was a set of enchanted Greaves. They would be put up to vote, as well.

The dead Thrallherd's quarters in the town above had been searched during the day by some of the undercouncil flunkies, but the only thing they had managed to obtain was a ratty, destroyed Bullwhip. It was too far eroded to be worth saving, and thus was discarded.

Lastly, the gold of the dead Councilors was up for debate. Combined, it was a total of 6 Gold. It would be distributed to a new owner as a single package.

This day promised to be an eventful one, the remaining councilors mised, as they sat down to the day's business. Perhaps something would get done.
