Will Sprig truthfully reveal how much gold each item generates when he uses his ability? I suspect he will take more secret commission than a financial advisor! (did noone else think of this or are Sprig's supporters on his side secretly?)
That said, I like tuxedoham's greedy banker pig avatar!

eh? of course I am taking a piece.... it is my ability after all, I never said I wasn't. All I am asking for that is a 1/6th of the action.
I do want it to make it very clear to those that are worrying that I might pick and choose items. I will REVEAL all items abilities PUBLICALLY before I convert them. If there is a public consciences that an item should be saved or an item that is vital to the undercouncils welfare it will be put up for auction. That same 5 people that vote items to me will received profits from either the auction or conversion of the item.
This doesn't make sense to me, Councilor sprig. All the items here are already out in the open! Unless you're talking about others secretly giving you items to destroy...good you'd share that with all of us. Revealing an item would be unnecessary, unless you want a further vote. Unless you had a way to reveal *after* converting them or make others witness to their destruction, it's no proof you're not hoarding items at all!
Also I will unvote gold for now. I'll vote the gold to someone who would help keep sprig from hoarding the greaves, or someone who gives me some other incentive.
I assume there will be some proof that staff is destroyed, in the writeup, yes? Surely lynching the evil Sprig could wait until he's done destroying the artifact which could be dangerous in the hands of the infiltrators?
I don't know, I'd be inclined to assume not. But in any case, like I said, go ahead and destroy the staff. If he earns money from it, so be it. But he probably can't destroy a second item anyway, thus why give him the greaves as well right now? Others of us could use them I'm sure, there's a vampire, assassins, and other spies on the loose.
I see no problem with Sprig distributing the money from the staff of lugus around.... vile thing anyways. However, I shall support J6 in his bid for the greaves for now. I of course, want the gold.

Sprig, if you're guilty, I'm going to be ticked at you for fooling me in at least two consecutive games. And then I will haunt you forever until I get my revenge.

Technically speaking, ATPG, you are guilty, Earthling's guilty, Sprig's guilty, I am guilty, Diamondeye's guilty, Niklas is guilty, Backwards logic is guilty, the dog off the corner is guilty, J6 is guilty...need I continue?

As the personal debates drew to a close for the first half of the night's session, a disgruntled Undercouncil took a brief recess for a meal. The Evening's debate had been far from unanimous, but it appeared as if the majority of the council either wanted sprig dead, or wanted to give him everything up for vote.
Stepping out of the main chambers, one of the councilors quickly hurried to his own quarters where an elaborate ritual had been set up in advance. Scattered about the room were various idols and incenses, all marked with symbols of the terrible Overlords from the deep. Setting onto a throne made of coral, he closed his eyes and let their whispers overtake him.

Gathering around the quarters of Beefy, the crowd had assembled at the gruesome scene. A bloody pentagram painted around his throne, Beefy187 now sat disemboweled on his last resting place, the candles now burning a horrifying black. From his cold, unblinking eyes two tears of blood ran down, his hands firmly grasped around an Idol of the Overlords
It was obvious that...
Spoiler:
Beefy187, the Dreamwatcher, was an Octopus Overlords Cultist!
There was a long silence, before it was broken by none other than Sprig. Stepping over the blood and guts in the room, he managed to pry the Idol from the hands of the dead councilor and smile heartily.
"We should vote on this, too."
Several murmurs of agreement were heard, and the crowd shuffled back to the main chambers. Beefy's treasury, holding a mere 5 Gold, was added to the pile up for vote, totaling 11 Gold.
Before the transition could be made, though, everyone's eyes turned to Niklas. Gritting his teeth, the gathering watched in horror as wounds and lacerations spontaneously opened up in his skin. Crying out in a mixture of anguish and satisfaction, he collapsed on the ground, blood seeping from nearly everywhere on his body.
Niklas is now injured.

Up for discussion next was the proposition for the day. With the influence of the Overlords apparently strong and out of control, talk began to increase about imposing sanctions on the Lanun. One of the councilors eventually suggested that a covert series of assassinations amongst key Overlords religious figures would be appropriate retribution.
