To CSA, USA
From Great Britain

This has come as a shock to us. Not long ago the CSA fought a bloody war just to be seperated from the USA. Now both want to rejoin each other and under British rule..... we must take a moment to process this recent change of events.

Seems like a good plan, we see no problems with reunifying the American Factions. This would at least provide a solid and united front against any aggressors. Britain agrees and requests that the new American nation give 8 IC a turn to the British crown for protection during your transition. After 4 turns this tribute will drop to 4 IC a turn for Naval protection. Then drops to 2 IC a turn permenantly. Agreed?

We are willing to help fund your war if you would adopt some policies favoring Mother Russia. Contact us if you are interested.

The Spanish Civil War will be decided by Spanish people themselves. We will not look kindly on nations that seek to prolong the Civil War for their own greed. We ask that you cancel your offer to provide money to Nationalists.

To: Edward VII, Great Britain
From: Thomas Haynes

We thank you for your consideration in letting our nations unify once again. However, what you demand is quite a large sum of money, which we will need to initiate the Second Reconstruction of the entire nation. We will provide you with tribute of 4 IC a turn permanently for protection of merchant fleet.

Sincerely,
Thomas Haynes

We will accept the compromise. It is settled, 4 IC a turn permanently. What is the proposed name of this new nation?
United States of America or Confederate States of America?

To: King Edward VII
From: Lord Governor Thomas Haynes

Our new governance's name will be either: Harvard or United States of Confederacy (USC), whichever one you'd prefer.

Sincerely,
Thomas Haynes

What is Harvard? Where did this name come from? (Yes I realize it is a name of a University but where did the name come from at that time?)

United States of Confederacy doesn't sound right therefore I propose United Confederate States of America (UCSA for short).

USC? No. I step in and say that you will not be naming your nation something so evil. Just no. ;)

Ahh poo, if you are a Texas fan (me) then by all means encourage USC, afterall we did humiliate them at the Rose Bowl BCS National Championships back in 2005. :p

Supposedly, the founder's name of Harvard University was John Harvard.

Verily, then, that is what our name will be.

Thomas Haynes

We care not about what you want. You are merely complaining that you will not be able to set up an evil communist regime in Europe. If a nation were communist and wanted to help you (God forbid), then I think your words would turn around.

We will support Nationalist Spain if they wish it; they will have to cede some minor things to us but overall it should be good.

Could you share some of your military technologies with us?

Also, if your majesty doesn't mind, could we get a permission to build a Pacific Naval Base on Oregon County?

Sincerely,
Thomas Haynes

King Edward VII leaned back into his plush red chair and wondered why his mother got rid of the Prime Minister position, he could use on now. He has been flooded with offers for lands, reunifications, and as odd as it may sound, an offer to join the British Empire. King Edward sighed, he hoped he remembered everyone.

He got up and walked over to a map sprawled across his big wall, he looked at it, in his mind he added the newly created UCSA and got rid of several small lands he was selling and smiled, his empire still grew to double, nay triple the size of what it used to be, despite the selling of some small worthless lands. He heard a door being opened opened and looked, a dashing young women entered the room, King Edward smiled, Queen Alexandra still looked good even after the long trip from Egypt where she spent her vacation. She rushed right back using the Royal Navy Battleship, HMS Soveriegn as her transport to make Queen Victoria's funeral. The couple hugged and King Edward whispered into her hear, "America is ours. The Confederate States merged with the United States and both are now under British rule." The queen looked up and said, "Your mother would have been proud of you." The two walked out of the room.

They went outside where the funeral was still being prepared, King Edward hoped his writers had his speech written up and ready for tomorrow's funeral. The couple walked off towards the garden, the two most powerful people in the world and not one of them cares about world events at that very moment.

Yes, of course, what would you like to know? Just list them in preference, what you want most put on top and what you don't mind too much for last and we will give you what we think you deserve.

The Czar Nicholas II would like to personally extend his condolences to King Edward VII. Losing a mother is always hard.

We fear that, in the flurry of diplomatic activity begun immediately following her death, that perhaps tensions will be provoked, tempers will flare, and danger will beset the world.

Thus we propose this: A NAP for three years. We will ensure peace between the two of us for at least three years. We can renegotiate NAPs as the time gets there, but let this symbolic gesture lead to peace with honor between us.

King Edward VII thanks Czar Nicholas II for his kind words.
Great Britain will agree to sign a 3 year NAP agreement. May the Lion and the Bear live peacefully in a turmultuous world.
