NuTRANESIV: Fallen Fantasy

Have you PM'd all the players? It is worth bullying us along to get the NES going.. a few more updates in and everyone will be hooked trust me! :)

I have bullied a few of them, but I don't want to force people into something they otherwise find uninteresting. Besides, at the moment I'm midway through making the map for the new NES and and extremely excited for it (it's Aros-related! Get ready to play gods again.)

Oh, so your killing this off? :(

Sadly, yeah, though I'd argue that my hand was forced by players jumping ship.

:( We wern't jumping ship, we just lost direction due to the stats.. please give it one more push?

To be honest most of the kingdom players have turned in their orders, it's the race players whose stats really did not change who have lost interest!

With only 6 kingdom players I'd have to shrink the scope of the map considerably so as to keep up player interaction/not make it you guys diploing with a bunch of NPC's. I'd much rather start anew and hope for the best.

If possible just port my nation to your new one then.

Dump us all in a cradle!

If you do that I'd be willing move the Swiech over to a kingdom if you needed me too.

Well, if the desire is overwhelming I can do a fantasy freshstart NES and put off my Aros-related one.

edit: Hell, I could probably combine the two if I tried hard enough, but I think overambitious game design is what scared off players in this NES to begin with! I think, if I do the fresh-start, I'm going to keep it contained to a single continent. It would fit with the whole fantasy-thing at least, because a lot of fantasy ends up dealing with one small part of the world.

Oh no, most of the races can be kept in the transition. Avian Elves are definitely allowed. I may have to get rid of some of the more crazy mutations, i.e. the skinless Karinthians or ice-eating Akkalik, but those can be easily transferred into other interesting things (such as the Karinthians retaining their heightened senses and the Akkalik being more-or-less unaffected by the cold).

Actually, let me make a complete list (of you 5 players :P) of how I think your current races may translate into the new NES (I want it to be less bat- crazy, still fantasy, but less apocalyptic):

Akkalik- Tundra/Cold-climate dwarves who are very, very, very resistant to the cold
Bladvenn- Blood-drinking Elves, not frog-people at all (though not vampires either)
Dohtel- Not sure here, actually :~I Having them be super-men is a bit game-breaking
Karinthians- Humans with heightened senses
Malachim- Avian elves
Sheol- Forest dwelling gnomes, very apt at hiding (though no innate camouflage)

So how many order sets did you get in the end?

5 in total, it didn't change at all even after some badgering :P

Would me sending some help?
