NuTRANESIV: Fallen Fantasy

Due to the clannish nature of the Bladvenn, I'd presume that he mostly gave them out to favoured relatives - if not always the closest one. Of course it would be in keeping with his treacherous nature to also elevate retainers from lesser clans if their personal loyalty to him outweighs their clan allegiances.

:) That's the gist of it, yes.

Numberwise? No. From what you can gather, though, they have more Malachim troops than you do. But then again you have giant acid-spewing lizards.

Yeah. At most they have somewhere between 5,000-7,000 troops.... So... Yeah, you can guess numberwise. :P

I'll get to this hopefully by the weekend. I'm in a bind for time this week thanks to forced lab time, and I won't be on CFC very often. A story will come clarifying which of the Khalkallenal I'll be dictating someday, though. :D

Greetings Brothers. We hear of your rise against the vile Bodomen. Can we do anything to aid you in destroying them once and for all? We are also alarmed at the Sjelmar choosing to continue their life in servitude. This kind of thinking must be stamped out. Will you help us pressure them into removing the yoke like we have done?

To Sjelmar
From Sheol

Brothers? Why are you serving these vile monsters? The death and destruction they have brought on our people. We are dismayed at your behaviour. Why do you not stand and fight?

Brothers? What brothers can you be when you have forsaken THE RIGHTEOUS CAUSE and abandoned our homeland?! If you were to help we would demand that you return to the SHEOLlands and take up the sword against the vile Bodomen rather than run from them!

(Bodomen Representatives)We understand your anger, little-ones. Long have our kind been at unnecessary odds against once another, and such old wounds, though they will heal, will always leave ugly scars. We would ask, if you are yet capable of it, to put aside the past. From what we have heard your peoples are a progressive peoples and together, perhaps, we may forge something better?

(Sheol Representatives)Do not think less of us, Brothers! You must realize that the Great Ones have spoken and bestowed upon the Bodomen their blessings. How can you deny this when you gaze upon their visages? Do they not remind you of those spirits we have long worshiped? We invite you to do the same.

Indeed, Brother. We were fortunate to survive the events that tossed us far from our home land. We did not abandon it. With careful steps our nation grows strong without the Bodomen lauding it over us. We demand their blood must spill, a hundred times the blood that which they spilt of our forefathers. Welcome us back, we will establish an outpost at the bottom of the river. Then then trade and our strongest warriors will drive into the fore side by side with you.

(OOC: I hope the above and below can be kept separate.. these messages should be private ok? Its all cut-throat diplomacy you see ;))

To the Bodomen Representatives of Sjelmar
From Sheol

There are those among us who want to forge a new future. Will you help us establish a trading post at the bottom of the river your nation sits beside?

((Don't worry, they are! It will be... interesting to see the results of this :D

Also note your country is called 'Heol', it lacks the 's' :P))

Trade?! Well... Trade may be useful. Have you any extra arms we DEMAND you send them to us. In exchange we will give you the worthless gold taken from the Bodo-hands. For the future we unite!

From Sjelmar
To Heol

Trade along the Horse River is dangerous, at best, though we will send a few intrepid traders as a gesture of good will. The fanatical 'Malcontent' as they call themselves control much of the southern area of the river. Were you to pacify them you would only pave a way to a more peaceful future.

Baww, so Sheol is my "homeland" where the Malcontent are?

To The Malcontent
From Sheol

Of course! Our men, their armoury and more will be arriving as soon as a suitable camp is established! Trade will only facilitate the building of more weapons and the funds to train more men. We are hungry for the Blood of the Bodomen, but we are not blinded by it either. We must grow as well as destroy them. Our advance force will settle at the end of the river that flows through your lands. Please aid them on arrival. As said, once word is sent home of this, many more will cross the waves to do battle with the Bodomen once more!

To the Bodomen Representatives of Sjelmar
From Sheol

We are sure the dangers outweigh the potential costs, you send your traders down river, we will have goods to exchange :)

Actually that whole region is called The Bodolands.

To Heol
From The Malcontent

We will greet you when the time comes, brothers.

Remember folks, you have EP you can spend on your orders!

Unless I am mistaken, it doesn't say anywhere in the rules what we can get in return for our 1EP investment? How many gobbo's? How many ships? How much to build a city or fund a spy mission etc etc?

No, that's because there is no set cost for these things. If you want to find a retinue of warriors then spend some EP and you'll get some warriors. If you want to try and found a new settlement spend some EP on giving your people some supplies and you may get a new city. So on so forth.

I will add a section on the front page detailing 'spending'.

Orders SENT.

Please look over and point out any screw ups, its a new NES and a new Moderator to me.. wouldn't want things to go wonky from the off :D

When you get a chance if I can get the answer to those PM's questions in my orders. Thanks.
