Very nice all along both French & Italian Riviera's... almost as good as Calif coast(!).
Except there was alot more old stuff. Rather interesting histories. Makes me want to try Rome, Spain, & France(Napoleon) civ's again!

Travel tho is a major pain in the butt (literally) & hassle in today's world.

If the close neighbours are ai, then you should have an advantage, assuming access to copper or iron or horses.

I don't have many scouts.

One of the close neighbors is an AI, so is the one beyond the jungle. The other is one of our fellow players.

Since we’re opening a bit, guess I can now tell of my tale of woe (glee to U all).
Started out losing BOTH scouts to VERY lucky beasts.

On a peninsula so my back is covered & decent resources so far.

Shaka = only neighbor so far &, lucky me, he’s there to “greet me” if I try to expand inland.
(anyone know how to say, “suck up”, in Zulu?)

Interesting Q:
Dows anyone know if hut's reward would have been same for different civ (in this case, Osbi)?

My experience is that it definitely would have been different on next turn (at least for ghcii).

I think it is a random roll of the proverbial dice and not a predetermined reward for specific huts.

It's been nearly 6 days since the turn file has been waiting for ye. I see no posting in the "temp leave" thread, hope U R still in this budding game?

According to the turn tracker it has only been since Friday - Barely 3.75 days

This is Memorial Day Weekend and I assumed it to be understood that holidays may have a slower turn around.

Either way, I just played now before going to bed.

Hm-m-m, i assumed holidays were a time for enjoying gaming with the extra time. But then again, i avoid doing what everyone else is doing when they're doing it. (a small benefit of being self-employed & semi-retired)

Hope everyone, especially us Americans, stopped for at least a moment to reflect on the meaning of this particular Memorial holiday.
As is said; "Freedom is not free".
"We all gave some, some gave all." I certainly gave some & came very close to giving all several times.
