Official Civ4 S&T Off-Topic Thread

It's where all of my friends and such are. It's one of the only times I can see my gf, but once I can drive that will change. Also, I'm one of those freaks that likes to learn.

I also like to learn. Unfortunately, I don't really like my school due to a mix of incompetent teachers, no friends, and classmates who only care about partying, drinking beer, and football. That last one and me being the only person in High School who actually WANTS to learn contributes to the "no friends" point. Any friend I've ever had always moves away while the people I don't like stay here for all of eternity. Sorry if this seems like a rant.

I like school. I don't know why, but people like me, even though I'm probably the nerdiest person in the class and I usually go one talking about something that happens to peak my interest that day.

That's how it was until Eighth grade for me. I went to the most ghetto schools in the whole district and was like no one. My only really good friend moved away. I had some friends in 7th grade but I was also still in a foreign land. Then school zones changed and I went to the other middle school and made friends. It's nice to be around culturally tolerant people. Not stereotypically xenophobic and homophobic Southerners.

Also, it's nice to live in a very soccer-oriented part of Alabama. :lol:

Or you can move to my neighborhood, there's a house for sale :D

Fair enough. Why not move to Canada? You wouldn't be a cultural outcast and wouldn't have to learn any languages.

I agree, that's just what everyone says. Where in Europe? I would say Germany, which I'm assuming you agree with, considering the exchange thing.

I wouldn't say Austria. Germany has a stronger economy.

I've always wanted to live in Southern England.

I mean for jobs and the market. It does matter. Also, Germany has a lot of high-tech jobs, like engineering and the like.

@DKVM what's wrong with North England? :p

That brings up a new question actually. What are looking at going into?

I'm almost certain of what I'll do, assuming the job market for it keeps growing as it is. I'm planning to go into aerospace engineering. This is likely one of the best places in the country, if not the world, to be one.
