Civ2 spearman
I played the first save game that was set up in this thread. It's pretty good to have a backup-gotm-game if you didn't make it the first time. This time I actually survived!! And it was all because of one city that produced swordsmen/catapults/improvements every 2nd turn because of all the food it had. All I had to do was pick up the whip! Muahahaha.
Now, if I was just a little good in attacking, I would have killed the Astecz. I got swordsmen around 1000 BC damnit! I was stupid enough to keep their capital, and the city was in civil disorder for centuries, and when it stopped, the Astecz got it back (culture!!) and 3 of my swordsmen were in it!
Man, things like this really makes you tired of playing. Next time I am about to take a big capital, I will raze the city. At least I get some workers for it. And you can always let the workers join a city.
