So Russia has gotten a new source of Cotton. The Aztecs put up a Great Wall in a night. This fun game might be %$^%# by a patch.

I'm sending to the Egypt the Bill of the terrain cost they have to pay if they want Silver from Siam . My advisors told me that the Egypt population is begging Silver to the Pharaoh, because such resource is seem as necessary for a huge party they want to throw in honor to the Pharaoh . If the Pharaoh declines from this offer,I'm willing to supply any of my luxury resources to any civ who have Pearls . For Safety reasons, some informations aren't showed in this screenshot .
Onan said:It seems, though, that Firaxis' patch plans may trump this discussion...we'll see if the game's playable tomorrow, and if not, if Mel has an ace up his sleeve to fix the anticipated problems.... Fingers crossed, but feeling sad, like it may be the end of our world we've cultivated for three months now.
Unfortunately, if Firaxis themselves couldn't convert the files as part of the patch, it's unlikely that we'll be able to fix broken ones.
By the way, it seems Siamese did not use the trick to lock on food tiles while put the city on production focus.
I've never heard of such a practice. Could you enlighten me on what you mean, oh great Pharaoh? I fail to see how such a small thing could reap any great reward.
But to forge a future friendship with Siam, Egypt is willing to double the proposed subsidy to 1gpt + 10g. That's the best offer Egyptian businessmen can do.
By the way, it seems Siamese did not use the trick to lock on food tiles while put the city on production focus. It's not a big deal at this stage though, but early in the game can net you very crucial hammers. GMR game is perfect style to max every bit of micro, and play a turn for like 15 minutes or more, look for any information in the global dip or statistics. That's how I played Speed in the early terms.![]()
From my testing so far the patch only seems to cause errors if you're playing with DLC civs![]()
No problem for me with the DLC one. In fact, all games went fine.
Egypt declared war to Songhai?![]()
...another trade war, no doubt.![]()

That representation of the Siamese capital was just to show why do Siamese leader request 60 pieces of gold from Pharaoh . In no way shows the current activity in this city . The Pharaoh may agree with the idea of patronaging the border expansion of Gao in exchange of happiness for the peasants of his wondrous empire . We Siam, may agree with a change on this dealing to +50g+open borders, which will allow us to explore the Fur resource on the north, increasing the range of luxury resources we can trade . About your current offer,We are willing to accept it.if you can find to us,someone else who wants to patronage the Cultural expansion of Gao in exchange of either Silver or Fur . For this new partner,I offer a special price for Silver or Fur,if such partner is willing to trust on Siamese leader .
We enjoy suggestions of our friends to speed up the development of my cities . Fortunately,we want to focus on Food first,as the 8th citizen will be more useful than few hammers .
Yes everyone can see the clear treachery of the Egyptians. They declare war over a minor trading dispute they are not even involved in. We Songhai will defend ourselves vigorously against this incursion and all major projects have now been put on hold in favor of creating a vigilant defensive army.
We Songhai leaders believe in personal interaction with our workers in the field rather than leaving it to our advisors and lock on every tile to be used in the early game each round in every city so that we can maximize the next baby born while also getting the proper amount of production. That way the advisors will not go back and select a tile that is not desirable for the long term goals of the city.
