Onan's Speed-Optimized GMR Game

If by Roman protection, you mean that Rome has no plans to invade Egypt, then sure...I'll take a look at whatever deal you have offered. But we certainly have no agreement to protect you from anyone else. :) debt cleared...does this mean trade agreements completed? Just checking.

Debt means whatever Egypt will deliver to Rome after Caesar accepts the deal. Of course, Egyptian accountants will keep ledger accounts on everything and expect the Romans will honor their deals and pay them back in the future.

Since India will no longer be able to renew the Research agreement with Siam,We Siam,Invite the Chinese leader to replace India . We hope that such deal create bounds between our not so distant empires .

Hmn, okay, we'll await your offer to demystify everything.

@Tab: Welcome to Roman lands. ;)

Thanks...but it was a really shy attempt

Have you seen his army?

I didn't have time to take picture(had to go at work), but i can tell that he has in his possession 4 legions and 2 catapults(don't remember the name). These units are stronger than usual and it's impossible to me to deal something around this fight.

That said, i offer you a peace deal Mr. Onan. If you refuse it, i will understand. My actions weren't always accepted by all the community but in this case i will accept my mistake. If you want to stay at war, i will wait you behind my Great Wall ;)

May the gods bless you, strong neighbor.

We happily accept this most noble offer for the betterment of our two great people! May the sun ever shine upon you!

@ Roman: The ultimate decision making will be on the wise Roman general, but Aztec armies may crush the Russians during the peace treaty. Not necessarily fighting, but the option to kill should be open to at least force a stalemate situation. Best if the Romans can liberate Dunblin from Aztec suppression.

While massive armies are marching across the land, the Egyptians and Songhai should not be tearing each other apart. But Ramses has withdrawn his offer of peace so we will warily watch our western borders.

Sorry, the Egyptians need to propose deal with Romans. And only one deal can be proposed each turn (patch not fixing it?). If the Songhai can propose next turn, Egyptians will be happy to agree.

@Aztecs, Caesar delights in seeing your woodsman swords fleeing across the plain, skirts flying behind them as they run for their Wall. We do not take invasions lightly, and will not agree to an even peace. Reparations are in order, and a counter offer has been made, even as our units pursue yours out of our land. Rome is not to be trifled with.

@Egypt, we have declined your offer. Though we appreciate the purpose of the offer, we find an offer which we will be expected to repay to be, well, not much of an offer at all. Also we are unsure for the reasons behind the particulars of the deal. Perhaps if some private discussions had been undertaken first, things might be different.

My actions weren't always accepted by all the community but in this case i will accept my mistake.

@ Aztec: This almost sounds like a confession, but Monty should not care about what the community thinks about him. In the end, the game is fun to play. The Songhai lists the four aggressors including him, so I guess everyone will be aggressive when opportunity presents.

@ Romans: yes, I was occupied yesterday and had no time to discuss the detail in a private setting. But things change so rapidly and the Aztec seems to flick back and forth, making the proposal irrelevant.

I really should've kept my army hidden until you crossed the river, then wasted your ass. :spank::hammer2:

G&K is installing so I will make sure that it works with the vanilla save file. I am already completely messed up in my thinking of the tech tree - so many changes!

Yeah they changed A LOT! I already tested it with our vanilla saves and it works just fine :)

Siam, a private envoy has arrived with business to conduct, and awaits your notice in the 'civfanatics' embassy. :)

It will be weird from now to play this hot seat game when G&K is so...different

FYI, the patch changes the way of initiating deal. You have to go to diplomacy overview, the click specific leader head to initiate.

Yes I have already forgotten how powerful education is in vanilla. Oh wait no I haven't...

When I finish out the current set of GMR games I will not be playing any more vanilla. I think the improvements in the G&K tech tree as well as the toning down of ranged units and the indirect buff of cities especially ones with city walls makes for a much more varied game.

Hey guys, I will be camping with my family this weekend and won't be able to take a turn on Saturday or Sunday. Sorry for the delay :)

There is always a reason to slow down the game...:(

:lol::lol::lol: :joke:

I will also have less time to play this week-end because it's time to celebrate our province's anniversary here in Quebec.

@Tabarnak: what would you offer for peace? We will not be unreasonable, but feel we need at least a token to show due respect after your...failed invasion. :D

@E Boy & Siam: the Romans crave new luxuries. We have therefore chosen to offer incense for furs to Siam, rather than renew our deal with the Egyptians. Egypt, we appreciate our past trading, and look forward to making other deals in the future...perhaps relatively soon!
