Does new addon fix terrible wait time between turns on large maps in mid/late game?
I dont need new features, nations etc.
I just want playable late game of civilization 5
My pc perfectly runs two launches of crysis 1-3, but i need wait forever between turns.
Friends have same trouble, in addition their pc much better than my.
So... what about time between turns in new addon?

Without playing a game we can't know these things, but keep in mind that Civ 5 is not a FPS, it isn't that simple as an FPS, Civ 5 requires a lot of memory/cpu to run because it needs to calculate the moves for EACH civ individually.

I'm not expecting much difference, really. Games of this nature tend to get really bloated as you get further into a match, and there's only so much they can do to minimize this.

I don't have the world's greatest computer and I find the turn times at the end of the game to be fairly tolerable. I doubt they put much effort into improving it.

Just grab a magazine or book and read a page or two while it processes. If you are at an interesting part, you can wait to start your turn.

As far as I know (and from my own experience), it has been demonstrated as a fact that most part of the slow inter-turn times is due to the out-of-screen rendering of the animations. Easy to prove: check quick movement and your turn times will be considerably faster.

Another alternative if you do not want to lose animations, is to use a mini-mod that "accelerates" the animations, like the GEM mod does. Such a mini-mod is very easy to create, I have my own that uses Thalassicus code for animation speeds.

Works like a charm, and makes turn times much better.

They could speed it up by offloading processing to teh Cloud but we all know how well that goes over ya? ;)
