The "hate going" places are pretty much those with an exceptionally high concentration of violent people (that would prefer to see me dead, so no mentions of the Pentagon or my alma mater please). Chunks of Iraq, Afghanistan, the nastier bits of former SSRs, swaths of sub-saharan Africa, and a zip code or three in many US major cities all qualify. As for where I'd least like to live, it'd involve climate, social, economic, and political factors. Or in other words, Arkansas.

I went over to Zimbabwe for Christmas '00, right when all the ZANU-PF were causing a bit of trouble on the white farms, one of them I went to (although nothing much happened, just loads of squats walked passed us). It was a beautiful country, though, if you ignore the shanty-towns.
