I already e-mailed this to my local newspaper, but if they do publish it, they'll have to trim it due to length. I thought it might interest you people.

Following is an excerpt from an e-mail about this despicable act of utter cowardice by thugs who so envy our nation that they must try to make it more like their own fearful places. In it, you will see that I have corrected the reply of the responder, to properly reflect the situation.
*
>>Anyone doubt that we'll find 'em and get 'em?
>>

>I am sure that the USA will get these terriosts and have them executed.

I am sorry sir, but your terminology is incorrect.

Terrorists are human ex-patriates who have seceded from the human race, as evidenced by their barbaric acts of utter disregard for humanity. As such, they are not subject to human terms like execute, murder, and the like. They are more akin to dangerous pests like wasps, rats, and vipers.

One exterminates such creatures. Swatting a fly is not an execution, it is not a murder, it is a small-scale extermination. Soon, America and its allies will perform an extermination on the largest imaginable scale, of some of the world's most dangerous pests. To call this concerted action, carried out as it will be by a global alliance, an execution or series of same, is to ascribe undeserved attributions of humanity to those who have, again, by their own actions, declared their secession from the human race.

Consider this to be a free lesson in Americanized English.
*

I just wanted to make sure we're all on the same page on this. I myself am one-hundred percent against the death penalty, but that is because I have respect for human life. Terrorists don't get included in that group, and therefore I have no qualms, moral or otherwise, about what happens to them or those who choose to join them by harboring, financing, or training them. I do not consider terrorists to be card-carrying members of the human race, as their actions clearly demonstrate that they want no part of that fraternity.

Provided that clear chains of unimpeachable evidence can be established to link any targets to these indescribably inhumane acts of cowardice, I for one feel that no actions taken to cleanse this filth from our world will be too extravagant, with the sole exception of weapons of mass destruction.

I do not feel that nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons would be appropriate responses to this, or any other circumstance. Such tools are the weapons of cowards and despots, and have no place in a free society, except to assure such cowards and despots that we have the capacity to respond in kind should they be foolish enough to use theirs.

The above two paragraphs are important to pay attention to. A response must be made, but it cannot be in kind in this instance. Justice is a word one uses to explain actions taken to correct human actions. There will be no justice in this matter. Shooting the snake that killed a baby is not justice. It establishes security from future attacks. One does not 'try' the snake for acting in its nature. One merely recognises it as a dangerous animal, and when given no choice, one eradicates it.

We have acknowledged that smallpox was a deadly threat to all of humanity, and after a concerted effort by the world, that disease exists only in labs. We chose between it and ourselves. We have another such choice to make. It is clear that terrorism and humanity cannot ever co-exist. Terrorism preys upon humanity, like a wolf in the fold. It is time to shoot the wolf.

In whatever response the United States and her allies take, we must be certain that we carry the act to completion. Every safe harbor for these dangerous pests must be broken open and made barren, laid completely to waste. Exterminating the termites that helped destroy the World Trade Center and damage the Pentagon is by no means sufficient. We must invade and destroy every nest, and be sure that none escape to begin their insidious acts again.

If we are to live in a free society, we must protect our freedom from those that wish to destroy it. The enemies of freedom have struck from the shadows, and claimed a fearful toll in human life, a commodity they place no value upon, other than the fear they can create by taking it from those who cannot protect themselves. It is time for the world's free peoples, and the governments whose duty it is to safeguard their liberties, to say 'No more."

Join me in declaring your support of a world-wide campaign to rid the world of terrorism. But when you do so, know what that means. It means that this campaign will have to violate the sovreignty of those rogue nations that support and harbor these dangerous pests. Know also that it may mean the end of those nations current sovreignty, if a government that will not renew its pact with terror cannot be established. It may mean that campaign forces will have to occupy those nests for some time, until governments with a respect for human life can be established.

President Bush, do you hear your phone ringing? It's the world, we have some termites we need gotten rid of.
