OT improvise rule

I just want to say that something going wrong in OT forum, a month ago i got baned ( some warmonger insult me, i respond and I got the ban not them). Now we can see that AoA , is taking some improvise rule, about irak ( when we should talk about it or not depend of his humor), about Goerge W (war) Bush, AOA took Bush crititism like if it was directed to him personaly, so he create another improvise rule to establish his point of view domination.

It is an off topic forum, not an embassy, so let the poeple talk and stop to improvise rule.

When AOA was about to leave, i was about to came back to OT, but now with his attitude toward peacfull poeple just keep me away from there.

A good moderator is like a referre in the ring, the lest you see him the better he do his job.

Wrong, at least for this site. Our charter to not to referee fights or disorder, but to prevent them, and maintain a more collegial and less confrontational discussion are than is usual at game site. To that end we use various temporary and moderator created methods, including making some overly heated subjects, or more in your face methods of dicussion, taboo.

Nonetheless, Tassadar has a point. AoA's latest rule is badly worded. Whether he intends to or not, it comes across as choosing sides. Especially since he has not been shy with letting us know his personal views.

Exemple, i can now start a thread in OT about how good and holy Bush is, but i cant say he is a warmonger moron, a puppet to war buisnness, because AOA dont agree with, i will get the ban. You see what i mean.Bush discusiion is not taboo, only those who dont agree with Bush are taboo. Anyway no big deal, but i will stay in CIV 3 general and startegic forum, but i found this situation pretty weird.

Yes i understand that you have some anti-trolling policy which are very subjective and thus not always easy to manage.

Lets say i am a pro-whale fishing moderator, so anybody who are agaisnt killing whale will be a troll to me if i am not wise enough to understand that other poeple have different point of view which can make sens ( at least as much sens as mine) , but for aoa , if you dont agree you make no sens at all and got a ban.

The issue of going to war in Iraq is essentially the USA against the rest of the world. So when the rest of the world tries to fight its case America is the brunt of the attack.

'Referees' should be impartial, AoA is American so he can not be impartial.

well we can always get moderator's from nations that don't ever do anything, like france or switzerland, or maybe Jamaica.
I'm happy with the american moderators that we have.
But it is pretty simple, if u don't like the rules then don't come to the site, we have over 25,000 registered posters, i don't think we'd miss one person, unless they were important to the site.

Inded, the wordings the problem, it currently sounds like: If you bash the USA or Bush - BAN - if you bash any other country or leader thats OK!

If you provide a service, you would want to know how that service is appreciated. Especially if you put so much of your free time in it. By complimenting and criticizing, we provide a site owner with valuable information.

AoA has a point here ,virtually any discussion about any politician on this forum is possible ,as long as you do it in a civilized manner.
I do not agree with all Bush's policies ,and i voiced my criticism on it multiple times ,i even debated about it with AoA from time to time ,though i never got a warning since i discuss in a civilized manner.That doesn't mean he agree's with me ,au contraire our view's on the matter are completly opposite ,but that doesn't mean we don't respect eachother's oppinion.

But when you start thread like this man is an whatever insult you want ,then don't expect respect.

I think you should learn how to to create fair rule for every body, i am very happy that yesterday a moderator ban rmssharpe, this guy have several time insult me because i am anti-war , guess who got ban by you a month ago because i reply to him, me. Yesterday 's night moderator did a great job.

the same moderator also remove some french leader bashing, but you wouldnt because of your bias.

So i love this site, and i wont let the warmonger ( ban proof from AOA ) to take all the place.

So when the rule are fair for EVERYONE i have no problem with a civilize conversation. But if warmonger insult me and you do nothing then YOU are the one who got a problem not me.

Edit; you can be sure in the futur if a warmonger insult me again and you do nothing, i will advice thunderfall about that.

You obviously have no desire to conduct yourself within the rules of the site, so I fail to see why you want to stay.
