Could this have been timed any better to make the 'international' pressure on :nuke: Iran:nuke: look partial and silly?

And check this:

Taiwan, which joined the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention in 1973, is said not to have biological weapons, but it continues to manifest an active interest in conducting biological research of a military-applied nature. Taiwan has a significant scientific and technical base in microbiology and a large number of skilled biotechnology specialists, mostly trained in America and Western Europe.

Some brave fellow (me!) has postulated here that US policy is not geared to prevent proliferation, but to manoeuvre against :nuke: China:nuke: . With every passing day, this scenario becomes more plausible. In fact it's a constant source of surprise to me that some people here think that the US is spending 100's of billions of dollars to hit Iraq on the basis of WMD's and WMD's alone. There must be wider goals here surely?

us spending.jpg Click this chart to see US spending and compare to the military budget of Nazi germany for a comparison.

Spending on armaments was only 10% of government spending in 1933, gradually increasing to 25% by 1935.

I will laugh when the Islamists take over the government in Pakistan shorty after Iran is invaded. They will have plenty of nukes and delivery systems for them, in short everything what the West don't want to see in hands of religious fanatics.
