New Paradox/BL-Logic (Arsenal of Democracy) Clausewitz-engine collaboration, taking the Great Paradoxian Timeline where Hearts of Iron leave off and bringing it all the way into the actual lifetime of many of us.

We are very proud to reveal our mystery project, “Project Reagan”, by announcing the upcoming game: East vs. West - A Hearts of Iron Game!

The game will be a Grand Strategy/Wargame set during the Cold War era - 1946-1991. The game is being developed by BL-Logic in close cooperation with Paradox Development Studio. We want to recreate the political and military tension between the Eastern Bloc and the West, since we at Paradox Development Studio have long felt that a Cold War era game is missing from our lineup. So when BL-Logic – the creators of Arsenal of Democracy – presented their game concept based on the Clausewitz engine, we felt that it was a perfect match.

As the 1950’s approach, the arms race intensifies and the world fears World War III as the US and USSR fight for global dominance. Guide your country through this dangerous historical era with all means direct and conventional, nuclear or indirect, via diplomacy, espionage and economy.

Sengoku fried my graphics card. It was an NVidia 8600 GT, meh I got a better ATI Radeon 5670. I played Sengoku on highest detail for maybe 3-5 hours and my screen just went black. I turned off the PC checked inside, graphics card completely destroyed

If a game is destroying your GPU, there are problems with the unit/your installation.

That statement isn't necessarily untrue, even now.
 
Not to mention any realistic cold war scenario would be incredibly boring, thanks to MAD.

This reminds me of a project from 12th grade social studies. Me and a friend had to design a board game about the Cold War and include major events such as the Cuban Missile Crisis, Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the Vietnam War, etc.

The game had a map of the world and a bunch of cards you drew on your turn for a random event. Each card had a historical event from the time period with potential decisions, allowing you to install friendly governments in various countries or deal with various situations. You also had a military and economic level that went from 0-10. Each action you took allowed for you to gain or lose these levels, and if either your military or economy got too weak, it was game over. You wanted to try to take over the world without ruining your country. It was a fairly basic and rough concept, but I can easily see how a Cold War Paradox game could potentially work. Its also why I've wanted one for years, as I would love to try something like that board game that was much more polished and better made.
