Firaxis mentioned the patch will contain fixes for Graphic cards/drivers , but I do not see that mentioned in the changes/fixes list. They also mentioned memory "improvements" again that is not mentioned in the list. What gives?

Well for me at leat it reduced memory usuage by 50 to 60 MB, playing on a huge map with 18 civs and full graphics.

I got bumped about halfway through loading and now it says no update available. I still have version 100, though.

Most likely the update sever is down...that's why it says no patch available, version okay ...you are not getting a response from the update server, so the game thinks there is no patch out there.

Not that I am complaining as much as curious.

Does anyone else that had studdering sound & smooth animation now have studdering animation and choppy sound on the intro movie?
Also, when the main menu pops up it says my computer is under specs and it has modified my machine to make up for this. Any information helping me optimize this would be appreciated.

Just happy my game works now. Screw the intro movie, just voicing concerns and would like to see if others noticed it too. However, I would like to optimize for it as if the intro is choppy it worries me for the late game play.

Why would they just put the patch in there (like it won't be overloaded) and not on the official site and made available at sites like here too...and considering all the one's who need it,,with no announcement ,, just people stumbling onto it...

It's possible the patch isn't done and they put it up by accident/test, then realized the mistake and took it down.

Nope I have downloaded the patch... 100% complete...
Than exited the game and popped up a new window saying it is installing it....
It installed, gave a minor error (I hope) now setup searching for stuff etc. Taking a few minutes

It takes a while longer to set up the web site, add pages, links etc.

...using the update server is much faster to set up...they simply 'turn it on'.

I expect the site to have it later tonite or tomorrow...if they decide to release it that way.

I will get some people mad here but:
FIRST BUG!!! because of the patch!!

with my scout i went on a goody hut: "you receive a new technology!!! and 5 or 6 turns later, i'm still waiting for it (and a couple of others from 2 others goudy hut)
