I had my Mali capital wiped out by a Haboob that lingered overhead instead of moving away, when I was just finishing my exoplant project.

It was the pits.

I think the worst luck I've had in a game so far was as Mali, I built a really tight Suguba/holy site cluster around my only patch of desert, only for it to get wiped out three times before the industrial era. I cried a little.
