hmmmm, i wonder if they set Hurrying Production in despotism to none like anarchy or if they set it to paid labor, or if they somehow changed the rules on using forced labor
It was the way unhappiness was being calculated. When you rushed, you were consuming the citizens who were unhappy by the rush. Now the citizen that remains is the one unhappy, meaning civil disorder.
Added "Show Wonder Initiation" preference and Eliminated 'Despot Pop Rushing' mean?
Show wonder initiation is those popups that tell you so and so started a wonder. Since this info is in the Wonder screen, you shouldn't be assaulted by it unless you want to.

Overall it seems that this patch will vastly improve the game.
I am surprised and confused as to why Firaxis would take away the option in the editor of using the bonus and luxury resources as strategic resources (such as wheat or ivory).
I don't use this feature myself, but I can see that it could be a useful feature for mods that I think is worh toying with.
Thanks, nonetheless.
The +0.01 to version number mean that this was the first patch since 1.16 that they submitted to testing.Originally posted by Beammeuppy
Impressive for a 0.01 increment patch, feel sorry for the Pop Rushers, it means a major change how to address Emperor / Deity!
Thumbs up for Firaxis anyway!
Same for improvements I'm assuming?Originally posted by Mike B. FIRAXIS
Bonus resources, such as Wheat, are not on the trade network and thus a civ never "has access" to a bonus resource. Only the city whose radius contains the bonus resource has access to it. This means that a unit could never require a bonus resource (you would never be able to build a unit requiring a bonus resource at best; at worst, the game would crash). I didn't take away an ability, I removed erroneous entries in a combo box. Note that luxury resources can still be used as prerequisites as they are on the trade network.

While the corrections/additions are certainly welcome, how can Fraxis NOT address the most annoying graphical glitch in the game .... The dissapearing lines in the Diplomacy Screen !!
Actually, it's more than a glitch. This problem really impedes gameplay.
Or, am I missing something?
