Hum! ...
May I try a question that is not about Alexman, when the patch is coming out, and why and why not, or to be or not to be???
I see the patch number is 3.13. The previous one is 3.03.
What does it mean exactly, on a technical view point? Does it mean that 9 patches have been internally made and rejected just before going public? What is then the meaning of the "built" number?
Why the next patch is not simply 3.04?
It looks as if we only see the top of a huge iceberg and there is a tremedous amount of work behind for reaching any number, with many "do-it-again" steps. It must be exhausting to work on software development...
I do not know how software versions are made and I am just curious about it: if any insider can tell me, a 50 years old man won't have then to ask his nephews how it works and will look a bit more modern next time he discusses with them...
