Great list of neccessary changes, thanks to the team :goodjob:

One important question: Will savegames be compatible to v3.03? It would be very important to know for us succession game players.

I was wondering, can anyone find the part where the combat animations bug is fixed?

Currently, people die, then stand up again, generally making me want to shut my eyes when combat occurs now.

All in all, a very great patch, though.

Sounds good, I am confused by this part though...

Is the unhealthiness intended or not? Maybe I am reading this wrong...

I believe that it would be referring to the fact that all cities, no matter continent, get the power health hit, but that any new cities don't no matter the continent.

are there going to be any fixes for the GP and Culture calculations in the city maintenance screen?

I think its due to the bad branch 303 was built on, so I expect it to be gone in this new patch. Generally any bugs introduced by updating from 302 to 303 should be gone. But thats just guessing...

Anyway... GREAT WORK FIRAXIS :goodjob:

Very nice to see that they have paid attention to what the fans have said and directly dealt with those problems.

Good work - looking forward to it!

Fantastic news. Read the whole log (god, is it big!), and I'm very pleased to see that all the threads that reported bugs were met with a solution in the patch.

As the patch is not being released this week, can we expect last minute additions to the list? Or is this final, and simply being tested in QA?

Wonderful work Firaxis. Can't wait! =)

EDIT: Why isn't this sticky already? :P

Yup, great stuff. and as I predicted - Friaxis gave an ETA, it wasnt stuck to, and people were very understanding and glad to have been kept in the loop. Please note for future reference, Firaxis!!!

Wow, just wow. :goodjob:
tohellwithworldofwarcraftjokes!

There are a lot of great fixes in this patch. Just 2 questions:
1. "Paratroopers have 25% evasion chance"
Does this mean they can intercept aircraft (25% chance)?
2. "Removed Great Generals from the game"
Surely not!
-Just realised its only in Final Frontier Scenario. Phew!

1. "Paratroopers have 25% evasion chance"

I think that means they just have a 25% chance not to get shot down if enemy fighters are in range.

2. "Removed Great Generals from the game"

That's just from one of the mods though.

Looks like the patch will fix most things (only slight alarm bell is I can't see anything about AIs not spamming corporations). This kind of communication is what makes all the difference as I said earlier. I can now plan ahead a little, and avoid any problems with savegame compatibility.

Hoping to see similar communication for future patches, though hopefully they won't be too important.

Great changes, it's really worth of wait!

Should read:

Ger obsoletes with Advanced Flight, like Stables

No wonder we have bugs.:mischief:

If you want it to be completely correct, the building is called "Stable", not "Stables" (Ger is in singular) ;).

I'm very happy about Ger change, but why didn't Firaxis give it 5XP instead of 4XP at the same time? While Totem Pole provides extra 3XP to Archery, it should provide extra 3XP to Mounted (in addition to normal 2XP from Stable), I think. At this moment it's pretty weak UB (2 promos with Barracks, 3XP for one more promo, 10XP for two more promos) compared to Charismatic leader and Stables (2 promos with Barracks, 3XP to next promo, 8XP for two more promos). This weakness just goes on with Keshik, which only true benefit is faster movement, because many units defending a city have 1, 1-2 or 2 first strikes plus those they get from promotions. I'd say it should have at least (in addition to mov. cost ignoring and 1 first strike) immunity to first strikes, additional first strike chance (total of 1-2fs) and free Drill I, while other Drills would be available to Mounted units. That would make Mongolia something it should be considering what it archieved under the rule of Gengis Khan and his successors.

Well the big question now is: how does this compare to Solver's unofficial patch? Have all of Solver's modifications been included in the official patch?
