PBEM RoR - BAttle For Mare Nostrum

The Scythians are here.

gps ----> Redman

This game needs a name.

Just to remenber!

No AI Diplomacy first turn, no worker buys, wars or alliances for first 10 turns.
No more than one MA w/AI civ vs. the same civ at a time.
No "Phony Wars" against your locked enemy, you must pursue the war.
No razing/abandoning cities, your own or your enemy's.

And of course no cheating and no reloading till u win a batlle!
Ill be checking for this kind of behavior...

Could I ask for some clarification here ?
Never play with "special" rules ...

No more than 1 Military Aliance .. ?

So - I should fight the persans to the death ? :mischief:

Regards

Persia as none military alliance so far ....
You can make one with human player or AI(Egypt) but no more than one vs a certain civ say macedon your enemy, so u have to choose with whom u allie with caution. Of course vs another enemy u can have another allie then and so on.
This is to avoid unbalanced game, like 3 or 4 vs 1, so if in any circunstances a player is being attacked by a 3 or more players alliance a penalty will be considered.
And yes u have to fight Persia till the bitter end.

And remenber wars (except barbs and cultural converstion - not really war), alliances with human players (u can make with AI on turn 2) and worker buys start at turn 11. This to avoid certain unbalanced aspects in the beginning of rise of rome scenario.

Hope game is rolling, save is with Redman i supose?....

Still a little bit confused ...

So I should attack Persian dictature and eliberate their people just in turn 11 even that I'm in locked war ?

Regards

As u know this is an original scenario from Civ 3 conquests, with the settings from the original game.

The rules were copied from an other PBEM game that i believe aplie to this as well and u will respect them. If not u will be substituted.

You are in locked war because this scenario reflects real life history, and Macedon of Alexander was on hated war againt Persia of Darius as well as Rome and Carthage, these civs are life enemies and therefore the scenario reflects that. Of course this is a pc game and gamers could "fake" the war and mail each other agreeing not to fight and even allie each oher. That is the reason for the rules i exposed to you.

The turn 11 exists to avoid some early city taking and weaker civ creepling in many parts of this scenario and this way making game more balanced.

Please respect them and have fun!

GPS turn 1 > Classical Hero

First: Noticed AP is on. I don't mind, but maybe something to discuss?
Second: The name of this PBEM is Rise of Rome - Battle for Mare Nostrum, right? I've put it in the name of the save, with the turncount. OK?

Persia:
The people of Persia celebrate I'm there ruler by building some new parts to my palace! :D
Further the usual micromanagement and troopmovements.

Redman of Persia

Yep, thks for saving it with that name.
AP is on because..well..cause i like it ...and cause its on ;)

AP makes way for mega armies leadding to mega wars.

Im sorry Redman but this is also a PBEM game with 7 players, 1st turn in 3 days or more, therefore AP is essentially so its not open to discution, its on and will stay on.

But feel free to give any other ideas or things u think could improve the game.

Best of luck with Persia :)
