People you despise and why!

I also despise that Italian footballer who took a dive to win a penalty in the '06 World Cup.

Could you narrow it down a tad?

Well, hate's a bit strong perhaps, but I don't much like Penelope Cruz, because she makes a complete hash of those adverts for L'Oréal or whatever it is. Also Jon Stewart, because he's super-unfunny but every American seems to like him.

They're top of the list. Also on there are Glenn Wool (Canadian comic), Randall Munroe (creator of xkcd), George Osborne and Michael Meacher (politicians), Stephen Hunt (footballer), Steve Bruce (football manager), and Skye Sweetnam (singer).

Good think that it says "despise", not "hate".
Ann Coulter; the people on the FinallyFast commercial (search it on Youtube, it's disturbing); the Jonas Brothers and also Ismail Haniyeh, the former leader of Hamas

This is the best comment in this entire thread. Bravo to you for saying it. :salute:

It's an admirable sentiment, and if you can live your life that way, best of British luck to you. However, most people cant.

No one takes too much effort, I dislike I never despise, that would give that person to much credit. And take too much effort.

 I seriously alternate between love and hate when it comes to you.

By why the hate for the XKCD guy? Because everyone seems to love it so much?

Ok, despisement list:

-Andrew Jackson, President of the US and the derivation of the term "jackass"
-Woodrow Wilson, President of the US
-Ann Coulter, right-wing "author"
-Che Guevara, left-wing "revolutionary"
-Yasser Arafat, leader of the PLA
-Bob Stoops, Head Coach of the Oklahoma Sooners football team
-Skip Bayless, talking head on ESPN

Obviously not in that order and definitely incomplete.

I don't really despise anyone. It's more of a mild dislike.

Hate? Aww. :( Is it 'cause I talk smack about NES? Since Turner fixed your spam thread and made it legitimate, I don't have a reason to anymore so I'm tryin' ta cut back... might be difficult to go cold turkey though.

I think he's a bit lazy. The state of the comic just gives the impression that he thinks 'Should I do a joke today? A witty observation maybe? Nah I'll just make another reference to Ghostbusters. That's something my fans enjoy, they're from the 90's right?' Fanservice.

Now, you might say I don't have a right to complain about this comic that's being provided for free, but it's not just a starving artist's labour of love, it's a business. Like when he did that 'Height' comic, and then his fans wanted a poster and OH SWEET COINCIDENCE he had already made the poster. Fanservice fanservice fanservice.

It's not like he's the only webcomic artist who does this though, so maybe it's a bit harsh to single him out. But I also don't like how he derailed Beret Guy, so yeah, forget you Randall.

If you would have said that from the beginning, I would not have had a problem with it ;) That spam thread was in dire need of fixing.

I can understand that, though the pressure of a near daily webcomic is boggling to my uncreative mind. Dinosaur Comics creator is the only one who seems to be consistently witty and that's probably made much easier because his background NEVER CHANGES :p

Another for the list:

-Sean Hannity, FOX talking head
