Pere - 001

Unfortunately I can't play before the weekend, so DBear or gunner, you want it? Otherwise I'll take it on Saturday.

Ugh, I can't do it. I'm already up in another SG.

Preflight
End the Ivory for Iron deal with India (it's after 20 years)
End the war with Rome.
Change some builds to Knights to reinforce the attack on the Iroquis

1. 1090AD
Advancing as fast as the catapults can progress. Next turn I should take possession of Saltpeter and our FIRST lux. :)

2. 1100AD
Capture Tonawanda with the loss of one MDI.

3. 1110AD
Moving forces together

4. 1120AD
Retreating units

5. 1130AD
Finish the Hero Epic in Carthage

6. 1140AD
Minor Combats mostly we won

7. 1150AD
And again some minor combats.

8. 1160AD
More advances by the Iroquois, which are put to the sword.

9. 1170AD
Iroquois want peace. Refuse

10. 1180AD
some muskets and cannons on the mainland are set on goto orders to Sulcis.
Iroqouis will accept peace. German galley off Spain's eastern coast, I suspect a sneak attack coming.
We have control of our first LUX! :)
The 5 galleons are setup in a ship chain, they recently off loaded so they are on the return trip.

good job, elmarae, i have only one concern, the flipping of tonawanda, we possessed it before only to see it flip back, we might consider getting settlers there to raze & rebuild to avoid massive flips

The rest of the Iroquios towns we should raze. Starve Tonwanda and St Regis down to one and join one or 2 of our workers and they shouldn't flip. I'll do a proposal for ICS the Iroquis lands in a while. I see great things for when we get Medicine, we should be able to trade it for alot of gold and techs.

By the time we get to doing this, we should have railroads. So every grassland worked with rail and irrigation will provide 1 specialist. The city square itself will also provide 1 specialist. It will require 2 plains to provide 1 specialist. Deserts only provide 2 food thus don't provide for anything except growth.

the only problem with razing those Iroquois cities, as soon as we start doing that other civs will start plopping down towns of their own in the vacated territory.

during my turns those towns had full resistors, meaning we could not starve until the resistors or at least one of them was quelled, that never happened for me before it flipped, do you remember how many resistors we had this time?

I would have taken it today, but I saw that gunner logged in, so I sent him a pm. If he doesn't show up tomorrow, I can play it in the evening...

T10 (1265AD) Found Calaris

There, that took awhile. Rails are being built. There's a settler around somewhere heading towards Quois Island. We're making progress on the island, even though I lost a few knights I shouldn't have. With their horses pillaged, I haven't seen a knight in awhile, just longbows. Our first cavs have landed. We're among the tech leaders, and our economy is pretty healthy. We're making units faster than our ship chain can handle. The chain is doing fine, it's ready for the return trip home.

Teh Save

The Babs had bought an MA with us against them :(

Sounds like very good turns, we seem to be on the right track.

What tech are we researching, I didn't see it posted but I could have missed it?

Thanks, I'm not so thrilled with how I handled the military, I'm pretty sure I could have saved a knight or two...

We're researching electricity, due in 15. I was thinking we could talk about starting a ToE prebuild.

Pred, it's in the screenie--we are researching electric.

0) 1265: Leet knight kills redlined bow, gets leader! Spend money to upgrade units back home.

1) 1270: Cadiz cav-->rax. Many of our cities producing military units don't have rax. Rusaddir cannon-->rax. Palace gets an east wing. Load cannons onto Golden Hind. Lep Mag switched to galleon. Cavs join army.

2) 1275: Utica and Theveste start cavs, Rusicade starts galleon. Delhi builds Newton U. Sulcis switched to Market for happiness.

3) 1280: Lep Mag galleon-->galleon. Cirta cannon-->aqua. Saldae cannon-->rax.

4) 1285: The bombardment of Niagara Falls commences. The cannon do the job while the cav army easily finishes off the redlined defenders.

5) 1290: Quois land a mace outside 2Tonawanda. The military buildup is starting to wreck the budget. Cadiz rax-->bank.

6) 1300: Carthage rifle-->bank. Rousaddir rax-->bank.

7) 1305: Switch several cities to settlers. An English Man-o-war starts cruising between Carthage and Spain.

8) 1310: England signs embargo against us. Conquer Salamanca, keep it for the Lighthouse.

9) 1315: Utica settler-->bank. Theveste settler-->uni. Rusicade settler-->settler. Grand River taken.

10) 1320: Allegheny taken. Successor either launch an invasion of Akwesasne or have one of the other powers do it.
If you don't think we can hold on to the cities before Akwesasne goes, feel free to abandon.
