Persian Empire

You became too addicted to huge unit packs. :D
I know, you completly spoiled us!

My Sumerian, Assyrian, Parthian, Sassanian, Khwarezmian, Timurid Mesopotamian region are not ready yet ... maybe tonight or tomorrow I`ll finish all of them. :D
I guess they'll do :goodjob:

To say thanks would be only once better !
You don't really deserve an answer, but here it is anyway. I have many PM or email exchanges with Sandris, he already knows all the good I'm thinking of his work.

Perhaps you should rather leave the hands of these units, since you are here probably historically overtaxed.

Perhaps you should produce rather only scenarios within French borders, that would be better for historicity for all other countries.
I'm sure if you took some English lessons, one day I will start to understand what you mean. You can also try to look for humour in a dictionnary, and try to understand that they include many forms.

And last, I have no problem to recognize I don't know everything, and that this region is not my specialty. Knowing the limits of your knowledge is the start of wisdom.

Beside, using the units for the time period Sandris made them for is a show of respect.

PS:
Sandris here are your numidian Cavalry (carthaginian right wing = 4000 men) in the battle of Cannae. Do you like to see the completly battle formation ? (mod for AC fight back)
I won't speak for the others, but I start to find all your links, previews for other games a bit annoying.

This is a nice pack !:goodjob:
... hmm ,but can somebody say me for what (generic) Civ they can be used ???
Babylon :);is my best guess ,but I would like to know more exactly.

How about... I dunno... The Persians? ;)

(They're right under India in the "generic" game!)

The later ones, are they Sassanids or Parthians? The cataphract looks Parthian to me, not so sure about the spearman.

I believe they both are Achaemenid Persian.

Or Sandris wouldn't be cooking some Sumerian, Assyrian, Parthian, Sassanian, Khwarezmian, Timurid Mesopotamian in.

Some pictures for comparison , painted with my own little hands :D.

Sandris, you're definitely awesome. Very fine work, as always.:)

Sandris another pack to add in, your usual quality is alive and well.
@Steph nice (15mm ancients?) job on the painting. I find blacklining and washes make a more vibrant unit.

Thank you so much for these and the Egyptians Sandris. They have already seen some use for me. I'll look forward to the immortals and any other special units we may receive as an added present.

I'd just got used to the idea that awesome units only arrive at the weekend, and now you're at it mid-week too. ;)

Oh man ,that happens if you play the generic game for the last time in 2004 or so.
In my epic I have kicked out many Civs. So Persia has become a part of Babylon in my game.:crazyeye:
I have ask just because I have lost track of the generics. Thank for reminding me.:)

OZ: Interesting philosophy ; will think about that too.

You're making really nice models, Sandris.
It's bad that their usability in historical mods is limited due the extremely colorful textures (all those colorful strips, points, and zig-zag lines) :(
I would really love to use some of those Persians in Roma Universalis. But I would be stoned for making from RU a circus full of clowns

I am still looking forward when you'll start making historically painted units as well, if ever... please :please:

Sandris units are mostly historical. He just enhance the colours and the pattern so they are clearly visible at civ scale and fun to play with.
