Obviously circle is the winner here.

A circle is a zero, so it is a loser. However, wheels are also circles and far more useful than if they were triangle shaped. But, a triangle can put a stop to a circle/wheel....

I expected circle to place first, wasn’t sure about triangle or heart, but impressed by star’s stellar performance here capturing 33% of the vote.

I wonder what shape would win if you had instant runoff voting.

I’m more of an art guy than a math guy, so I can’t pick circle. Squares and rectangles, while useful, aren’t my bag.

I like threads with wide parameters, not telling people why to pick a shape. Half of the fun is seeing why someone chose something.

It is also mundane - everywhere you look it's the same thing. Perfection is boring; we're interesting because we're imperfect. A perfect tree would not be a circle; it would be perfect for climbing, or for building treehouses, or for birds to nest, or for fruit to grow. It is the imperfections that make a tree perfect. A triangle can be a perfect equilateral, or it can be a radical scalene, but even the perfect equilateral is not the same everywhere. Mario is a circle. A triangle can be anything from Princess Peach to Waluigi. It can never be Mario, but who would want to be Mario?

Mario made use of many circles, but not many triangles. He used at least 4 circles in every single race of Mario Kart and at least 1 sphere in every single set of Mario Tennis. Trees can't be circular, but we can cut them down and carve a sphere out of a large piece of wood. Although that hasn't been done in a while.

When my job involved stacking boxes, rectangles were absolutely the best shape.

Squares can be stacked, but tip over easy after a few layers if you dont put cardboard every few layers (or use tape, shrink wrap, etc.). Triangles....yeah, you can stack them in a pyramid, but then you increasingly diminish how much more you can stack on the next layer....people who can't stack boxes (squares and rectangles) very well have the same problem and we would tell them their stack looks like a Christmas tree (and if they were exceptionally bad...or maybe it was a skill?, their stack would look like an upside down Christmas tree.."how is that thing not tipping over yet?").

Stacking circles.....ummm, no thanks.

Easy when everything is same size. When everything a different size it becomes Tetris...or more accurately, 3D tetris.
