Your choice as a free citizen of the west.

My choice is to be informed...

These men are fighting for you, pay them some attention, and hope with us that they get home.

Why is it allowed to show Iraqi PoW's, but not American PoW's?
Go figure....

I am against all pictures where POWs are recognisable. Iraqis, British and Americans alike. So speak for yourself.

You can't stop the media from doing it.

Would you perfer to have this data hidden from you by the military?

No, i would just prefer that people would refrain from humiliating theese people by displaying them like they were circus animals.

The americans PoWs I saw on TV were not humiliated (they only were asked to say their name). The ones in Guantanamo, in a cage, on their knees and blinded were far worst.

Guys, start a thread on this subject.

I don't want to see this thread closed due to arguing about POWs.

Does anyone know whether the sight on the L85 is a reddot sight or an "enhancing" sight (whatever its called)?

Call it the Life Magazine thread; it's a good collection of stuff you've scoured up here, and very insightful in that odd pictorial sort of way.

You must agree that people should be seeing what is happening in the Gulf?

Are we all meant to shut our eyes and pretend we are not at war?
This type of attitude mystifies me.

Ricky, Just try and stop me from snooping out info about the war!
