Pizza

I generally get a pepperoni, sun-dried tomato, garlic, and onion pizza but lately we've been trying out this new place and I've really been enjoying their Rosemary Chicken and Potato pizza

I've heard recently that on average French people were eating two pizzas each week... which is twice more than the Italian people on average.

My favourite pizza is the Quattro Formaggi : gorgonzola, mozarella, parmesan and goat cheese.

That's wonderful.

My favourite is Pepperoni. I do like Meat Lover's, Hawaiian, and Cheese. I usually order delivery, about once or twice a month.

Dominoes finally makes a halfway decent pie, the Philly Cheeseteak pizza. I prefer it without mushrooms.

Now, the question is, which sort of pizza do we eat? The American ones (=fat, thick, big) or the Italian ones (=thin, delicious, perfect). I also was quite shocked when I wen to France this summer and discovered that they use Emmental instead of Mozzarella as cheese. Ok, Emmentaler is a good cheese (hey, it's Swiss), but not on a pizza?

My favourite one is Pizza pazza: ham, pineapple, pepperoni (not the right word I know, but I don't find the better one) and curry.

In most of case, the cheese on pizza is mozarella in France, not emmental.

But I do agree with you Mitsho that Italian pizzas are way better than American pizzas.

We like either the barbecue (barbecue sauce, shredded beef, cheddar or provolone cheese, red onions, cilantro, pineapple), or the gyros pizza (feta cheese, cucumber/dill herbs, roast lamb/beef, tomatoes, white onions).

One topping pizzas are far too boring. :D

Edit: When making frozen pizza, a dab of sour cream on each slice (after they're cooked) makes them almost palatable. This is particularly the case with mexican/taco pizzas. :goodjob:

Potato!? :ack: Chicken is nice though.

I still like the good old capricciosa: ham and mushrooms. I prefer them thin.

The weirdest pizzas Ive ever had were Tuna Melt Pizza and Fried Egg Pizza. Yep, pizza with fried eggs on it! Both were from the same pizza place, but I live too far way from them now for them to deliver (which has probably prolonged my lifespan by a few years).

Pineapple and green pepper. Totally serious.

When I have pizza leftovers, I like to microwave them for about two minutes, at which point it will be totally melted. The result is like a cross between a grilled cheese sandwich and a pizza.

The thin italian-style with pepperoni, salami, mushrooms and olives. Sometimes anchovies instead of salami.

And NEVER pineapple! Yuck!

@Marla_Singer, ok, It was just that I was in southern France and in every Restaurant I was, they made it with emmental ... :) weird...

Margherita, with Basil.

Pizza Hawai´i with eggs and artichokes (sp.?) and Pizza with sea food (mussels, squids and tunnies) or classical with ham, mushrooms and Salami. Of course cheese and tomato sauce.

P.S.: I´m hungry now...

Meat=good
Not meat=not so good
And thick stuffed crust.

But I do not eat it often as it is very expensive here, costing about 7 euro- and you can get decent meal in restaurant for only 3.

PIZZA > all other food apart from Chinese
Chinese > pizza

Um, i like sweetcorn and MUSHROOMS on my pizza. Especially mushrooms.

When i backpacked round western europe for a month with 2 friends we ate about 50 pizzas between us in 31 days
So I had a rather large pizza overload!

anybody who puts Emmenthaler on a pizza should be shot, it simply isn't a melt-cheese, pah barbarians :)

For me it's just a plain margerita: nothing except tomatos, mozzarella, oregano: yummi.... ok I can live with ham too.
