Playable Byzantines in RFC 600AD

Sorry ijnavy haven't had a chance to try yet. The new patch screwed up my RFC and I've only just fixed it.

I would do the dll myself, but my civ computer broke down. :(
 
It's going good so far, I'm going to look at it again tomorrow morning as I need to restart from step nine of your link because I seem to have mixed up some files and since then have gotten nowhere. Also, I haven't spent a whole lot of time on this lately(:scared:RFC random city names:blush:). However, don't worry I'll get right back on it and I've definetly made some progress.

P.S. Too bad about your computer.:(
 
ijnavy, when you tried it what problems did you have? I'm just curious because I'm hung up on the smallest thing right now(I posted it in that thread that you posted).

Note: If you use visual C++ 2008 you no longer need to do step 4 of Chazcon's post.
 
I got the computer running again. I'll get the new makefile for the patch and tomorrow will try it myself.
 
I haven't be able to do anything either. Do you know where I can get VS2005?
 
I'm using VS2008 and it's working fine so far, I'm just following the instructions in an odd way apparently. I've restarted the process so I hope it works this time.
 
Just a heads up ijnavy but I kinda figured out how to open the .dll :), I'll give you more info after more testing:p.
 
Does anybody know any kind of way I can be the Byzintines because I would really like to try it out
 
Go to the first few posts in this thread and there are some easy ways to do so yourself, however if you wish for them to have a UHV and all extensive coding is necessary, ijnavy has already done half of it and I've done part of the DLL, I just can't compile it.:mad:
If anyone could help me with the DLL, I'd be very greatful.
 
I'm really amazed by the worked we've all done. I mean I looked through all the postings and it seems that everyone really tryed to pitch in to make this happen:)

Oh and approx. how much longer will it take to finish?
 
I'm going to try again on the dll since I've been ignoring it.

The sooner we open the dll, the sooner it will be done. When we do open the dll, it will take approx. two days for the first version to be done.
 
ijnavy, do you mean you can't open the DLL or that you can't compile it? I can open and edit the source code just fine, it's just that I've also been ignoring it and only know a little about C++, altough I really should look it up some more. My problem is that Visual C++ 2008 won't compile the DLL with my makefile(Jean Elcards), I just keep getting the same error over and over.
