Pokemon Black and White!

N will be appearing in the sequels! I'm not sure how, but he will!

I can get a Flareon pre-E4!

And they'll finally use this piece they made!

Tepig is badass.
You just have to imagine him as a prohibition-era Chicago detective.
As he evolves, he gains a trenchcoat along with his fedora.

One's a teenage boy, just leaving home to explore the world - the other's a gutter-mouthed fire-starting pig who takes no nonsense.
Together, they fight crime!

Spoiler :

Malone, i'm so sorry I boxed you.
But it's Dragon time.

Same starters from B&W

Not happy. I hate the Gen V starters. I thought the team at Pokemon Company still had some potential left in them when I heard rumors of a Psychic-Dark-Fighting starter list before Gen IV came out, but they've proven themselves with these games to be utterly unimaginative, with the same three starter types, same Team-o-Villains (though the moralizing by Plasma was refreshing, from the normal Dripping With Evil teams of the past), essentially the same path over and over again. As was noted earlier, this generation requires even less thought than past ones. I remember in Red being utterly stumped after I finished up with the Pokemon Tower, there were even some nice puzzles in Gold and Silver, and Platinum (I didn't get Pearl or Diamond) had me stumped for a hot second, too. Never did I wonder in B&W, except when I couldn't find HM04 and the very first time I saw a Shaky Grass; but as was noted, the non-Cut HMs are not even required.

The only real problem I had was the level curve.
Or, rather, lack of it.
I SHOULDN'T be able to waltz into the Elite 4 with Level 50 pokemon.
That's just.. Wrong.

I might've already said this, but the starters from B&W are my second-least-favorite from all the games only after the Johto starters. Thankfully the rest of the B&W pokemon are much cooler, but Oshawott sucks a big one in particular. I agree about the simplicity of the game. It's undoubtedly its worse trait. Hopefully B&WII fixes that.

I don't mind the level curve so much because it's always been like that and I don't see a way to get around that. Like how the Kanto gym leaders were stronger than the Elite Four in HG/SS/G/S/C.

Y'all probably (might've) noticed this, but leveling in B&W is much easier than in any other game before it.

This game has been compared to a Pokemon Cataclysm.

Some version exclusives have been revealed!
(via Serebii) Black II has Buneary and Magby, White II has Skitty and Elekid. This solidifies my decision to get White II.

The only bad thing I've yet seen about B&WII is that the pokemon's sprites did not change from the transition to B&W to B&WII. Back sprites are atrocious.

Black City and White Forest return.

There is no such thing as a black colour. Only dark brown. Name should be edited to "Pokemon Brown and White" to be accurate. Also the original games were in brown and white... where as these new games shall be in colours of red, blue and yellow. So their naming methodology is sketchy to say the least.

I guess I was the only one who found Black and White harder than the previous games.

The gym leaders were difficult. Particularly the electric and normal leaders.

Well, they're called Black and White, not The Color Black and The Color White, so it's perfectly accurate imo =). lol @ last two sentences, though.

I don't have a DS so I haven't played Black and White, but I feel like most of the people who say it was too easy are veterans of the series. From what I've read, even in this very thread, the game isn't exactly breaking new ground with the concepts it introduces and the goals it gives you. I thought Gold and Silver were super easy, but how much of that was because they nerfed it from Red and Blue and how much was because I had already played Red and Blue so I knew exactly what to do, had a good idea at a glance which pokemon were worth raising and which weren't, etc? Mostly the latter I reckon.

But again I haven't played it, maybe it's really easy mode even for people new to the series (not like it was ever that hard even then)? I could be wrong.
