Either it doesn't work properly, or we need a new column in Buildings table.....IsNoAnyWater.......
Or add IsNotCoastal which would be more universal. I have few ideas on mind :)
To have IsNotAnyWater you could combine IsNotCoastal with IsNotWater.

If you’re looking for another ancient wonder, there’s the Hittite lion’s gate from the wonders of the ancient world scenario that is not being used anywhere. We have Turkish wonders, but not any Hittite ones.

Can you provide some more info from your game? How wonders spread out? Who owns them? If AI build them?

So I just started a casual game so I can maybe give some feedback?
Im playing brazil and these are what wonders were built so far

turn 25: Ggantija has been built bu Japan in Kyoto
turn 28 Mohenjo-Daro has been built by Morrocco in Marrakesh
turn 34: Wieliczka mine built by me (brazil) in Rio
turn 40: Skara bare built by Carthage in Carthage
turn 42: pyramids built
turn 44: Karnak built by Morrocco in Marrakesh
turn 49: Goebekli Tepe built by Spain in Madrid
turn 57: Stonehenge was built
turn 77: Temple of Arthemis built by Carthage in Carthage (Stole it frm me)

(I have a pic of how Morrocco was like on turn 44 and Japan on turn 49)

It's still turkish, coz I use modern borders :p Just kidding. I will check it. Do you know about some early music-themed wonder? The earliest is from industrial?
So I can't use this or any new update in a current game?
Try, but I don't know what changes will not cause game crash. Sorry.

Did Wieliczka spawn 1 Salt for you or you didn't manage to meet requirements? Now, as 0.4 is ready I can focus on requirements. As someone said, paper on Great Library is bad and I had few more things to add. I'm now working on evening build chances for each wonder. But, it's good to hear that Goebekli Tepe was built (mountain required). Take screen when you find Isabella. I would like to know if she settled next to mountain or 2-tiles away :]

One question to all. I know that changing VP things is not in a good taste, but it would be small correction. Currently we have Great Library at Writing and 3 wonders at Mathematics (Forum Romanum, Malwiya Minaret and Hanging Gardens). I thought about moving Forum one tech up in the same tier to Writing. It would make 2/2 division of wonders per tech and it fits better thematically imo. Anyone things it will be catastrophic?

Do you know how to check that in VP's code? Could you correct/modify tht for next VP update? AnyWater is not currently used.

I'm sorry .... I don't know how ... DLL.Gazebo.
No problem. I just posted that on VP github. Thanks for help. For now I have lua.

Really like what you are doing here. Some observations from my last game (using the version prior to the last):
Majorville medicine wheel was built in medieval (by me), maybe you should let just the on/next tundra requirement. Besides there aren't many bisons and tobacco on tundra..maybe changing bonus to camps?
Wieliczka salt mine wasn't built cause there wasn' t no salt on the map (or any major civ had)..I suggest changing to mine improved resource.
Petra wasn't built. Maybe with a mountain nearby, instead of next to, would be easier to meet requirements.
I agree Great Library should see paper requirement go.
Buddhas of Bamyan can only be built in city adjacent to mountain, don't know if intended.
Terracotta can be built only if on coast, don't know if it is fixed now.
I think Mohenjo Daro is too strong compared to other neolithic wonders, maybe let the free well go?
Anyway I love wonders, and your mod makes me enjoy even more the game. Keep up!

  • Intention of this mod is to keep sum of built wonders per game same as in vp, which means that some wonders does not appear in one game, but they will be in other one. With such big amount of wonders it is necessary imo. Maybe later I will do "light" version with other requirements.
    • That's why Wieliczka didn't appear. Wieliczka without Salt? :p
    • And Petra too.
  • Great Library will not need paper in next version :)
  • Buddhas of Bamyan should be buildable during peace and with mountain in range of 2;
  • Terracota, chand baori and chevaliers are fixed in 0.4.3.1 (via lua for now);
  • I will look at Mohenjo (plan for new version can be seen in the op).

Just started a game with 0.4
very excited.

Temple of Artemis is about the goddess of hunting, might it make sense to require a camp, rather than farms?

Sure. 1 camp will be enough, because it is much harder to build than farms which I was about to reduce to 2.

As I said I was working recently on requirements, because I still feel that some wonders are just too easy to build compared to those which require resources f.e. Because of that I created new set of requirements (look at pdf file) using few set of rules (green - new requirement/prohibition; red - older that will be cut; C - coast, L - lake, R - river, W - any water, FW - fresh water, F - forest, J - jungle, R - mountain in range, RR - two mountains in range, A - adjacent mountin, O - other: M - marsh; O - oasis; FP - flood plains):
  • holy wonders have generally simpler requirements because they need to fit exactly one city. Still it is advised to choose holy city carefully with earlier plan. The only city that will not have opportunity to build holy wonder will be hill without any water and not having jungle nor plains. Any ideas for additional wonder filling that gap?
upload_2020-1-27_1-43-51.png

  • wonders with only luxury resources have generally only one more condition simple to fit;
  • wonders with wider set of resource requirements (bonus, strategic) have two more conditions to fit;
upload_2020-1-27_1-45-8.png

  • policy wonders are not so easy as holy ones because they can build anywhere; resource requirements have wider set of possibilities (few luxuries to choose); they have still reduced number of terrain requirements/prohibition (don't look at Alhambra, because I forgot about it :));
upload_2020-1-27_1-46-14.png

  • overally every wonder should have 3 restrictions (sometimes 3 + 1 prohibition if they are easy to accomplish) or 2 if they are difficult;
  • some stupid/impossible combos were cut;
This is plan for now. OP and github will be updated later. Now I wanted to share my thoughts. If you have idea what resources could be added (even instead of something else) to current set of wonders, share your thoughts.

I figured out that MaxStartEra is for games where you don't start from ancient, but f.e. from Renaissance and old wonders doesn't appear in such game. I will try to add similar lua to block old wonders, so Ancient Wonders will be available only in Ancient and Classical and so on. Only one era ahead. It's not so amazing when you create cave paintings in medieval, right?

Can you post image for Berlin?

As for Ulundi: it was possible when city was on FLAT, had GRASS and was near RIVER. He just met both requirements.

With all planned changes to requirements it si necessary to look at current abilities. I post suggested changes (old/new) in main post. Main tweaks are:
  • Ggantija - change focus to farms (new requirement). +5% was to similar to Temple of Artemis;
  • Majorville - people suggested to change its focus. Now more yields GLOBAL to camps and bisons;
  • Mohenjo - totally changed; cut :c5strength: and :c5production: yield; river tiles now give more :c5food: and increased base :c5culture:;
  • Karnak - was always OP; changed :c5culture: to :c5food: on Oasis ond Flood Plains;
  • Nazca - more :c5science: focus on added camp requirement, less :c5faith: from hills;
  • Wieliczka - small tweak: added flat 1 :c5gold:;
  • Buddhas of Bamyan - it looked bland, so I added 1 WC Vote, and modified it yields;
  • Gate of the Sun - was bad so reworked it totally: less :c5culture:, no :c5gold:, no :c5greatperson: GSciP (was same as Nazca), 2 new abilities boosting :c5science: and added 1 slot for GW of Literature;
  • El Ghriba - was too powerful (free Synagogue); cut base yields and added new unique ability: :c5gold: from :c5faith: purchase;

Can you post image for Berlin?
attached as requested :]
On a side note, Great Zimbabwe seems out of place compared to the other authority wonders... perhaps it can give more experience based on active trade route? or boost a different unit such as range or seige as the other 2 gave unique promotions to melee and mounted units

Turn 170: Wartburg built by me (no one else went progress so there won't be any other progress wonders, also typo/merging mistake, it says completion of liberty brunch instead of progress)
Turn 174: Petra built by Greece in Pharsalos (he just entered medieval era, not sure if you can still construct it then)
Turn 175: Alahambra built by Spain in Toledo
Turn 183: Borobudur built by Carthage in Carthage
Turn 183: Itsukushima shrine built by Morroco in Marrakesh
Turn 186: Roman Forum built by Japan in Satsuma
Turn 191: Cathedral of St. Basil built by Germany in Berlin
Turn 196: Terracotta Army built by Zulu in Ondini
Turn 196: Machu Picchu built by Spain in Barcelona
Turn 204: Great Zimbabwe built by Greece in Argos
Turn 207: Qalhat built by Japan in Kyoto
Turn 207: Notre Dame built by Zulu in ulundi
Turn 216: Hagia Sofia built by Zulu in Ulundi

- some post-medieval wonder is being built alr but I'll only mention those modified by this mod
