    Spoiler :
Lovely map and nice early action. I especially enjoyed the barb xp-farming tactics. :)

    Some remarks:
    • why EP on Pacal? Was obvious early he is the target of an axe rush
    • not sure if you completely forgot Pacal is building Mids, but you could've seen how many :hammers: he has put in using the formula (sabotage production/city revolt*108)
    • you don't have rice since you lack agriculture
Can't wait to see how the game will progress!

Too bad Church is not IMP with Cha, this could be one nice example of getting an earlier GG and having half a dozen more CR3 Axes when they matter :)

I was generating a few maps for NC209 with Kublai, and got a map that I don't think is suited for NC, but could fit in this thread.

    Spoiler Starting screenshot :

    Civ4ScreenShot0000.JPG

Spoiler Map script and settings :

Continents, everything "normal". Opponents hand-picked, no edits.

Spoiler SPOILER, why difficult? (Something you can deduce ~T20 or so. :

It's difficult because you are stuck on a island with two somewhat competent AIs, that won't give you a super easy time. Meanwhile the other continent is full of the usual runaways.
Your start is somewhat meager, and you might have problems aquiring strategic resources.

But hey, you get a river!

A buffy5 save with barb tech added is attached, and I also generated the usual NC worldbuilder files in case someone wants to play with their favoured settings.

    Well that was quick...

    Spoiler :
Stalin with the T42 DOW. 2x Axe, Spear, 2x Archer. And if that wasn't enough he built the TGW 2 turns prior to that and 4 barbs are coming into my territory at the same time as his stack. I have 3 warriors :)

 Lain for posting the Charlie video, i really like watching and playing struggle games.
Your honest style is worth much more than any win ratio, i have lost plenty of such 10/10 difficulty maps as well.

Just want Lain to play this map I've made.

It's a heavily modified donut map with a little more resources where you start in the ice - so it might make for a change :)

@Lain Just wanted to put extra emphasis on what @Fippy said above.
I really appreciate that you put losses and games where you struggle up too, and not self-censor in any way.
Sounded abit sensitive toward the end of the Charly video mentioning that you didn't feel on top of things, that honesty is worth alot thanks for that and thanks for sharing!

Recommended. I played about 70 turns on this map. I'm not sure it is particularly hard (whatever that means) but it's certainly something different.
It's both playable and interesting. Letting the game slip out of control is definitely an option.
A nice challenge in reading the map and adapting to it.
