Post new Civ requests here

Is there a stand-alone cuban civ in existence? The only one I could find here was a one for Verietas Delectat. The civ wasn't stand-alone and that is what i need.

Haven't posted on here in years since I played civ 2, and even then I barely posted. But now that I picked up civ 4 I came on here looking to see if anyone ever made a Dominican civ. Haven't found it yet and there's a lot to look through in this thread.

So any takers? I'd supply all information necessary as the knowledgeable Dominican I am. Would also appreciate a puerto rican and Cuban one as well as Haitian. I'm actually looking specifically to make a scenario of Dominican independence from Haiti and Spain. Maybe more a of general scenario of the late 1790's starting with Haitian independence. Guess this is might be the wrong sub-forum for this request? I have no knowledge on modifying.

As I posted in my "reason for editing" I realized other posts have been made pertaining to this. If this is ever followed through on, I would like to provide some alternate information for D.R. because people such as "A-Rod NY" posted info like leader choice and relation with Haiti that I would sternly challenge.

:cry::cry::cry:

Who do I have to beg/pay to get all this done!

I don't have the time (working too much and can barely play civ as is) or the patience (I just have none) to modify things. I just wanna play a scenario that focuses on Caribbean history from late 1700's/1804(ish) onward.

Yes lets get a some more medditeranean civs
(1960's Cuba :mischief:)

Somebody's been working on a Leonel Fernandez LH, so he's obviously making the DR.

Although I think the best leader for a DR civ would be Trujillo. A DR civ without him would be like having Cuba without Castro, or Chile without Pinochet.

I mean, I have very little to complain about as I just want that civ/scenario done for me. I would say LF is garbage and should be towards the bottom of the list. First would be either Trujillo or Duarte though the latter was never a head of state.

Is anyone taking on Cuba? please i could really use this civ.

There's already an excellent Cuban civ out there.

Oh thanks I found it sorry. Is there a North and South Vietnam civs out there?

Why not make a 50 states mod while we're at it?

Is there any try for Kyivan Rus Civ? East Pagan Slavs were very interesting nation, and father nation to Russians Belarus Ukraininian and Polish nations.
Main Leaders are :
Olga : Spiritual , Organized (united tribes into organized country, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Olga)
Vladimir the Great : Spiritual, Charismatic (with him Rus grew with power, he made Rus and Byzantium allies and brought Orthodox Cristianity to East Slavs, which remain till now)

While they won't be "stand-alone" civs, my mod will feature modules for Cuba, Haiti and Puerto Rico. The deluxe version will also have these civs as regular choices. I suppose you want it to be stand-alone so the game-mechanics aren't changed, well the only changes to game mechanics my mod will feature are spy promotions, inquisitors and extra religions (only seven can be founded in-game anyway). I will add a few other features ilke Barbarian civ etc. but none that should alter your strategy. If you are interested I should be finished in a couple of months.

Why those 3 and not include the 2nd biggest country in the Major Antilles with the fastest growing GDP and who had a hand in the liberation of the biggest one (Cuba)?;)

If the Dominican Republic is so great, then why do so many Dominicans leave for Puerto Rico?

Just kidding. Heck, I'd play as the Dominicans just because their diplomusic would be so awesome.

Time mostly, you are focusing on the three I mentioned. I made over thirty modular civs for my mod, and they all have flavored units. Its not like I'm resting on my laurels over here.

But to be more specific about it; I made Cuba as part of my Americas module pack, I limit each pack to six civs so I had Canada, Mexico, Gran Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, and Cuba. Note that I left out countries like Chile which should probably have been included, but since I limit them to six they weren't.

Puerto Rico will be part of module pack III, which is not themed and has civs ranging from Siam to Assyria. Haiti is also part of this. Why Haiti and Puerto Rico and no Dominican Republic? Simple. I made a Toussaint L'Ouverture LH and Madman, who helped me make these packs, requested Puerto Rico.

I guess my point is that the RD was not left out for any specific reason at all. There are plenty of nations that I haven't made. Belgium and Norway weren't included in my European module packs for instance.

PR is not really a nation anyhow... its a protectorate...
Let's just add San Juan to the USA cities list...

Well, tell that to all the Puerto Rican nationalists out there. I'm not one of them, but Puerto Ricans definitely love their history a lot!
