You couldn't have been surprised. As soon as the uk declared war on you I figure it was a matter of when not if Christos declared war on you. I'm not sure you can handle fighting two superpowers at once but then again Christos has worries in China so your situation isn't completely hopeless

I anticipated Russia's invasion since day 1. However, we got some productive cooperation in place for 7 years now, so I thought Christos wouldn't be willing to shoot himself in the foot for the sake of involving himself into yet another (undeclared) war just after his own political establishment almost rebelled against him after a similar enterprise less than a year ago. He's had two Tsars assassinated in less than 5 years, so his act of war is almost suicidal for the stability of his regime.

As for us, we've been prepared for that and many other scenarios. It's not gonna be an easy war, but I'm not concerned at all regarding its result. Finally, my state will be able to do what I've designed it for: kill armed humans.

I really need to work on that. I've got some ideas kicking around for fluff stories, but I just need to find the time to sit down and crank some out. You guys do a great job on the world building, so kudos.

I was playing around with an idea of making annual reviews of various military forces, starting with the GFA's and then proceeding with other countries. Hope to cover GB some day, too. If I do that, I'll make sure to send you a first draft, to get your edits if needed.

Also, technically it is not a war between Russia and Germany. The Tsar of Russia is grandson of the last Kaiser and thus the legal Kaiser of Germany. As such, he is only claiming back his heritage.
