I can't believe nobody's brought up
New Zealand yet - it's a small country but is supposed to be incrediby beautiful. Has nobody here seen Lord of the Rings?
Out of all the places I've visited, I am going to have to vote
Chile, though. I'm sure some of you are already sick of me talking about my trip there

However, the remote southern parts of it (southern Patagonia) are breathtaking. Here's some pictures (not mine)
These pictures don't really do it justice - but I'm busy at work and can't really spare the time to find anything better.
The area is littered with parks - one of them -
torres del paine national park - has been voted as one of the most beautiful and must see places on earth, by various magazines/organizations.
Chile also has desert-like northern regions, as well as "stuff in between"
IMO Chile, the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, China, and Thailand, should be the only countries for contention here.
