You were plenty happy to take a bunch of my northern territory in an alliance with Thlayli. :p
And thusly gain influence with me, although that didn't particularly matter much.

Greece never matters much. :(

Iggy, did I miss you reserving something?

Greek rebellions have been part of my undoing twice, don't act like the victim here. *odd smiley that shows that I'm not angry at you, but not being silly either*

I've reserved nothing, I might join a little after the NES takes off. I considered Canada, but my experiences in-game with Thlayli are bad enough as it is, and I disliked the fact that Quebec separatism had developed almost identically to OTL, but half a century or more earlier.

Anyway, I'm giving it thought.

Regardless of that, I have very strongly-burnt in memories of your alliance, so I will continue to think of you as Thlayli's ally, at least when it mattered.

The second time it wasn't a rebellion, and the first time I didn't start it, just took over after the fact and conquered you while I was an established sovereign country. ;)

Also the part where someone's already taken Canada. :p

Go back and read the thread, and see how quickly I bailed out when I realised roughly what Persia and co's plan was, and how they intended to do it (read - badly ;)).

Dalnorossia. Also I managed to do fine by very specifically not allying with Thlayli in the end ;).
I'm only saying what my impression is, not what the facts are.

Yeah, I considered before j_eps joined, my first posts were sometime before him.

Darkening (I can't bring myself to include tildes), your reservation of Nepal is noted.

You know, I'd be happy with just Dark :). Or he-who-sucks-above-all if you wish :}

flyingchicken called it fifty posts before you did (edit: in post #58).

...

Flavius Aetius is listed by Dachspmg on the first page, and since Dachspmg has no where said otherwise, the logical conclusion would be Flavius Aetius.
Thank you.

@Dis: Yes, the plan worked awfully, considering my absolute victory over the Ottomans. You just realized that the wind was blowing the FK's way, and didn't want to incur Stormy's wrath by assisting in the collapse of his Middle Eastern ally.

On an actually relevant note, how detailed do you want our military doctrines to be, Dachs?

It depends. :p In all seriousness, anything that's been okay for das' AFSNES should be okay for this as well (although naturally upgraded for the twentieth century); outlines of operational doctrine, the use of particular armaments, which school of thought (such as they were) you happen to support...that sort of thing. I want to minimize the overall length of PMs, and including tactics, operational doctrine, and your grand strategy in every one seems a bit much.

Anonymous2U, your reservation of Bulgaria has been noted.

The attack the ottomans plan was abandoned yes, as the slightly longer term prospect of acheiving victory over China, French America, Muscovy, and getting what I wanted out of the Ottoman hide anyway without having to do anything for it seemed more enticing* :D. Plus, with you overextending yourself and dying, and the FKs being busy elsewhere, who was picking up the peices of soft power in the balkans and west asia?

Glory is fleeting, and whilst the sword can carve an empire it cannot forge a nation - I prefer the hammer, plough, and pen ;).

*The ottomans were on the way out as a large empire anyway.
