Maybe add a economic capacity stat? so for japan it will be near full to reflect their efficiency?

Nah what would be appropriate would be the having a great player to represent their adeptness at using what they have - feeling up to the job ?

Well if Thlayli did reserve the US earlier then by all means he should have it. Should have said that first and saved us worthless arguing.

Dachs, are you going to leave Belgium. One of the highest industrialized density wise nations with 2 EP military upkeep and only 3 EP total? I find it really hard to play like that. I generally need 2.

I have 3 eco, 2 military upkeep, and size 6 nation, with population 2.

I cant grow anything but military, technically.

My army is tiny enough. I do not feel safe with any less and definitely not in Belgium.

You do realize that if your neighbour is hell bent on taking you down, your army size as it stands right now wouldn't deter them at all.. You can't just change the military upkeep/army size ratios just to fit in with economy, otherwise it's not a rule anymore (i.e. everyone will clamor for reduced upkeep for gameplay reasons). Also i believe Dachs DID change belgium's upkeep to 1.

True about the enemies. But a good commander can slow down any foe of any size.

The upkeep is SUPPOSED to be somewhat prohibitive. The costs of war are waaaaayyyy too small in most NESes, which doesn't reflect the rather impressive amount of money one has to spend in order to maintain a fairly large military and/or keep up operations with said military. I eliminated upkeep on most of the non-military stats mostly to make things less confusing and the military slightly easier to bear.

For all those complaining about military upkeep: you have navies as well. They are expensive. Except for Belgium, which was sort of silly, and which was duly decreased. Darkening (I can't bring myself to include tildes), your reservation of Nepal is noted. flyingchicken, your willingness to take Russia has been similarly noted with no small misgivings but an equal unwillingness to deny new players an opening, and Dis is first on the list to take over from you.

Economy problems have been noted and will be rectified as soon as I can get back to a computer.

Okay, the economy problems what were noted have been generally changed, mostly to preserve some form of balance (the UK was just scary, now that I look at it) and to give an element of realism. These comments are good, keep them coming.
