Have you been living under a rock, just how far are you in the Warcraft Lore?

Its just a game and they change the lore with each new game, The burning legion werent even mentioned in the second game.

No duh, but their the ones who've been pulling the strings for the Secound war as well, I suggest you get WC:III in general. Did you read the manual about Gul'dans excerpt for the 2nd one, a demon known as Kil'Jaden was training him in Warlock magic, guess what he's one of the lords of the Burning Legion, who are an army of Demons bent on the Destruction of all life in the Universe, and were lead by the Fallen Titan Sargareas, until his defeat by the Awegyn, the Guardian of Tristfall, an order of Humans and High Elves dedicated to the destruction of Demons.

Why is Sargareas called a fallen Titan, why because a million, billion years ago a group of Metal Skin Gods known as the Titans arose to bring order and life to the Universe. In their encouters they found twisted and perverse creatures known as Eredear and Naztherium, Demons spawned from the Twisting Nether. At first Sargareas, their champion imprisoned these creatures but his exposure to them left him in doubt about the Titans goals. Soon he went mad and released the Demons, who swore loyalty to him, and so he renamed them the Burning Legion, dedicated to the destructiong of all life. Titans, having thought Sargareas was simply crazy and having no knowledge of what he has done, leave him hoping he will be of no harm now that he has lost his sanity. At the time the Titans came upon Azeroth, and did things I'm not going to get into right now as it would be too long. But this is only the beginning of my long and tedious explainations so beware, your lessons have only just begun.

Basicly, Sargareas came around destroying worlds and all that junk. Meanwhile, on Asteroth, The Night Elves were making their merry little way through the world. They were aided by a Keeper of the Grove(can't remember his name) who gave them knoledge of the forest. Also, the night elves discovered the Well of eternity, which was a giant lake filled with magical energies. The Night Elves gradually learned how to use these energies to their advantage, essencially creating magic. These energies, however, were the energies of demons. Now, many of the night elves used so much of these energies that they gradually became addicted to magic. They wanted more and more power to themselves and kept using and abusing their magical powers. Their quen, Azshara, became addicted herself and took with her a special caste called "High-Born" who were fellow magic addicts. With them, she summoned the burning legion from the well of eternity. The world just seemed totally screwed up it's ass until Malfurion, Tyrande, and the dragons managed to send them back from whence they came through some sort of massive explosion that resulted in the separation of the former supercontinent into to smaller continents. Between those continents is a massive, never ending storm known as the Maelstrom. Now, Malfurion's brother, Illidan, was one of Azshara's fellow magic addicts. He, however, felt that it was necessary to preserve the Well of Eternity, which Furion had intentionally destroyed to keep the demons out. Illidan thus put a few drops from the well into a vial, then put them into a lake, which was then tainted by magic. When Furion and Tyrande discovered the lake, it was already tainted by Illidan. Illidan was given a life sentance(VERY bad thing if you're immortal), and Furion cut a deal with the dragons to give them strength to fight off the demons if they should return again. He was sent off in a sort of sleep known as the emerald dream, where he would gather power to fight off the demons again when they return.

(I don't know, I might have skimmed over a few details, but that's the gist of the story from where KrimzonStrider left off. Could somone else steeped in warcraft lore pick up?)

I'm going to need to edit some of this, ummm confusion made by our Night Elf friend, but please I'll get to it later. And yeah so go for the Darkspear Tribe Kentharu.

Actually he is the father of the Keeper of the Groves and the Dryads for that matter, he is a demi-god made from the coupling of the Night Elf Godess of the Moon Elune, and the Protector of nature, the Stag known as Malorne. Note that these creatures are not in a formal relationship, they just did it to because Malorne was in a pretty sticky situation were he was about to get killed and Elune saved him in exchange for creating Cenarius to look over the Night Elves.

BTW, don't ask me where Elune came from, and I assume Malorne is just a creature that developed naturally in Azeroth.

Meanwhile, on Asteroth

Azeroth

They were aided by Cenarious a demigod. The Keepers of the Gorve are his offspring.

It wasn't just him, all the Druids did the same.

Alright, well first off the Night Elves then decided to use this new well and with the help of Cenarious and the Dragons blessed it with nature and planted a seed within. It would later grow intothe World Tree, granting the Night Elves their immortality and continued magical control over nature.

Now at the same time some of the High-Born left were banished from the Night Elf realm, they took a vial of the water from the Well of Eternity and traveled across the see. They came upon a new continent and named it Quel'Thalas. These are the High Elves. At first due to their lack of magical exposure (unlike the Night Elves who now had the World Tree) they began to lose their dark skin color, and became more peach like. At the same time they decided to forsake the moon held so highly by the Night Elves and embrace the Sun.

They used the vials of Well of Eternity water to create the Sunwell, which granted them their immortality and control over magic. The High Elves then regained their control over magic(but not their immortality. Though they do live 2000 years old O_O) which was just in time because they were forced to wage war agaisnt the Amani(Troll) Empire. They defeated them 3900 years prior to warcraft I. However the trolls were not finished, they prepared for many generations and relaunched their campaign 2200 years before Warcraft I starting the Troll Wars. The Elves were forced to turn to the Human nation of Arathor for help, and with it won the wars crushing the troll empire once and for all.

The high Elves wouldn't be seen by the outside world until the Second War with the horde when orcish forces burned several outlaying elven villages. The High Elves then pledged full support to the alliance and helped crush the Horde. The High Elves would then be a target for the Scourge who were to bring the second coming of the Burning Legion. Prince Arthas(then a Death Knight under the Lich King) led the Scourge on a path of destruction and death stariaght through the middle of Quel'Thalas destroying all opposition and finally the capital city of Silvermoon. Arthas then tainted the Sunwell with demonic powers to ressurect the necromancer Kel'Thuzad as a Lich. Their Ranger general Sylvanis Winrunner was killed and ressurected as the Banshee Queen, and would later manifest the form of a Dark Ranger.

It is estimated 90% of the high elf population was destroyed by the Scourge. At this time Prince Kael'thas decided to accept the demonic powers which the High Elves held as taboo and disgusting, and he found many followers. These became the blood elves who only wish to see revenge in the destruction of their kingdom. He allied homself with the Naga and Illidan and therefore became a pawn of the Burning legion. He and several of his followers left to outland where Illidan and his followers regroup.
q
Many Blood Elves decided not to join with Illidan however, and have begun reconstructing their homeland of Quel'Thalas. This has caused much uproar in the High Elf community however as they view the Blood elves as traitors to their own kind and do not wish to see their homeland occupied by them. The high Elves are for the most part powerless due to their diaspora across the planet, mostly to Theremore and to their dwarven allies the Wildhammers.

As such they used their political power to deny the blood elves access into the Alliance and the Blood Elves have thus turned to the Horde creating an uneasy truce with them. The Blood Elves do not mind their relations with the tauren, but are wary of the orcs(due to the second war), and trolls (ancient enemies) and especially the Forsaken(spite towards the destruction of heir homeland). Stil lthe uneasy bond is there.

So theres the history of the high and Blood elves for you.

Actually the Blood Elves were left behind because Kael didn't have enough time to take them with him so they are now seeking to reach Outland and reunite with Kael, and their using the Horde to do it.

I thought I listed the rest of your stuff about Cenarious pretty clearly, in any case about the Dragons, they've got a pretty weird relationship with the world so uhhmmmm not going to get into that until I'm more prepared.

In any case I've got a question myself, if the Titans created Azeroth and everything, WHO THE HECK ARE THESE OTHER GODS!!! ELUNE, THE EARTHMOTHER, WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Okay back to the Dragons, when the Titans came to Azeroth they found a bunch of Evil beings and their elemental armies, known as the Old Gods. It took all their power to imprison the Old Gods beneath Azeroth, and banish the Elementals to the Elemental Plain. Then they went to work in Ordering Azeroth and creating life. Once done they planted a Magic filled Lake called the Well of Eternity to feed energy and life into the planet. To ensure the saftey of their new Jewel creation, they imbued their power into the most powerful creatures on Azeroth during the time. The Dragons, who by the way are divided into 5 dragon flights, had parts of the Titans power to the 5 leaders of their respective flight leaders, the Dragon Aspects. They are the guardians of Azeroth, dedicated to preserving the planet against all who opposed them. I shall return with more information as the details are ver interesting.

Warman said it'd take a month, so wait the month...
