Procylon's Call to Power Project

Was pretty pumped to try this, but when I try to load a game (Iroquois, Large, "Earth", Immortal, no other mods), I get a C++ error

ASSERTION FAILED
i < ARRAY SIZE

I have updated my redistributable. Options are retry, abort, and ignore. All three crash the game

Any ideas would be appreciated; I'm dying for some new life in this game. CCMAT II is good, trying DonMarty instead of this now. Anybody else suggest anything to me? :crazyeye:

ok so its only on the earth map for me all the other maps work np
I'm having the same issue on all maps...anyone out there have a fix?

Try manually deleting your cache folder. It sometimes helps, as mod data across all mods is stored here and can cause conflicts.

C:\<username>\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache

Ah, just tried it - didn't work. Any other ideas?

P.S. NiGHTS is awesome! Love your work - your mod has been my favorite out of all I've played. Classy move, helping me try out a competitor :p

seriously what the hell did you do with all the resources, just started a 2nd game to see if the first was a fluke, and this time i had 1 resource within a 3hex radius. you have really taken a lot of the flavor out of the game. i do not even care to try and see if your changes are interesting

It is important to look into the advanced gamesettings before starting a new game. Change the level of the resources and you will get what you want.
BTW V9 is still alpha, and for me its really interesting.

what type of map did you choice? and at advance settings can you change amount of recourses? because some maps dont have an working generator for recourses (maps that dont work dont have ability to change amount recourses )

The last time I played on Terra, the map was stripped off any kind of resources if I set to "Strategic balanced resources".
I believe some maps are not plain compatible with the mod under some config.

BTW: What does recourse mean?

hmmmm some people still have bugs or trouble with terra maps..... here i always use continent and all work fine, i actually don't try huge map because my computer surrely load it only 2 days after ;). i still use mini and normal

Change the resource count to legendary.

Could do with a little bit more info here, playing with other mods either activated or in the mods folder? have you bought any DLC?

No other mods, other than the downloadable DLC fix from the first page. I have the Inca, Spain and Polynesia DLC. Tried deleting the cache and updating the C++ redistributable as mentioned previously in this thread.

EDIT: I'm using the Earth and Terra maps, and from some further research in this thread I found other people having problems getting resources to spawn. I'm getting the same issue, even after changing the resource level to "legendary" as ikillu64 suggested. Perhaps the i > ARRAY SIZE issue is related? I'm no computer whiz, though.

You can adjust the scarcity of resources in the Advanced Setup. The default is pretty low, but if you set it to high I guarantee you'll have more than enough resources. Or go to Legendary, and you'll be drowning in resources...:D

Edit: oops, didn't see this was already answered, sorry

Decimatus, I wish you, your Japanese home, Nation and people a swift recovery from that horrendous disaster and ongoing Nuclear nightmare.

On your Project front I want to impart that I cannot go back to playing Vanilla Civ 5 now, I have alway been a huge supporter of Mods of all Civ versions and your CTP Project has been one of the most exciting CIV journeys I have had the pleasure to play , crash, upgrade, delete, reinstall and crash again. But I can wait and playtest again for you when the time is right.

I have experienced nearly all of this threads problems but most recently, on large 10players with no Citystate or Barbs have gotten to the 1700's but then the crashing went from every 10 turns to every 30 seconds most notably when the city screen was open and the map was moving.

I know you are still with us but I will be here to try again together with any luck, I have played and purchased CIV well since CIV 1 and CTP from the original releases and all iterations since.

Welcome to the forums :D. For me, playing in strategic view reduces the crashes significantly. It also speeds up the game for me

I changed resources to legendary, but still nothing's showing up. Has anyone else encountered this?

Thanks for the welcome on board chrome-rome, indeed I agree with your strategic view statement but for me I do like to see my pretty little things on the screen, just call me old fashioned.

imguraffe I have encountered such disappearing things in game when either my V9 install became corrupt and/or I left the V8 still installed, what fixed it for me was to delete these from the Mods folder and copy/paste the mod file straight in and use the CIV 5 install mods button from the game interface to re-install a-fresh.

Sweet sweet res icons is there nothing they can't do?

NB: I have just read your second last post, i would hazard a guess that the Earth map that you are attempting to play on does not support these extra resources nor would the show in any case.

the amount of resources are normal, just nothing around my starting position. something seems screwed up

just tried 3rd game, resources very high no resources within immediate area again, one wheat 3 hexes away. Rome had 3 resources within immediate area, one just outside, and one 2hexes away. Is this normal?
