Production Queue 0.1.17

I absolutely cannot replicate the issue folks are having with finishing production on repairing buildings/districts not advancing the queue. @sp00n said it doesn't always break so I'm assuming I'm just not having any luck getting it to happen. Rather than fumble around with playing and trying to have an issue with repairs, is there any chance someone out there has a save file just before this happened? If anyone has this happen in the future, please save the previous turn and send it over. It would be most appreciated!

I have to go do some real life errands, but an update will be coming later addressing the other issues.

Lozenged updated Production Queue with a new update entry:

Bug fixes from the past week

Version 0.1.6

This update addresses most of the issues that were reported throughout the previous week:

  • The Spaceport district no longer gives three different sized "rockets" as production options which are meant to be for internal use only.
  • Walls may no longer begin being constructed after the Civil Engineering civic is researched. Walls already partially produced will continue to be listed and able to be...

@silentscience I hate to say this, but the city (Madrid) is finishing the repairs and continuing the queue just as it should. At the risk of sounding belittling, have you updated the mod? This exact problem used to be a documented issue but it should have been fixed a few updates ago. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Sorry for all the troubles!

@notque I made the necessary changes to support the district placing behavior you are looking for in a branch on the GitHub repo for the project. You can find it here. I am going to send you a PM to go over the specifics of the changes that were made.

use 0.1.6, it can work

@Shiroifushicho It's unlikely that it is PQ preventing the Inquisitor from being listed. I don't actually remove anything from being listed in any of the production tabs, just add them when needed (and sometimes when not needed, stupid bugs). That said I wouldn't mind taking a look if you have a save file of the problem.

Don't look any further, i got it, it was from a mistake i added directly onto one file game... Your mod working perfectly fine, after 3 game so far with different settings / many mods (like 20ish). Not even one conflict/crash/bug. Goodwork with the wall fix, i was about to put it there it but it looks like you already got that bad boy.

@Shiroifushicho Okay, good! I quickly took a look (already had a Spain game saved) and had no problems, but I forgot to mention that in a reply.

@silentscience Thank you for the step-by-step! I think I finally understand. If a district is pillaged while you are actively producing a building for it, the queue freezes. I will definitely take a look at that when I get the chance. Stay posted!

You do not explain how to properly install it.

edit: NVM just like civ 5 there are 2 folders for civ 6 and one of them is in your documents which contains the mods folder.

@eatmyplis I apologize that you feel the instructions are insufficient. There is indeed a Mods folder, but it is obviously not in the location you are looking. The location of the folder depends on whether or not you are on Windows or OS X. On Windows it should be "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods". Searching the Internet for the location of the Mods folder on OS X resulted in me finding multiple suggested locations. As I do not own a Mac and therefore copy of Civ VI on a Mac, I suggest you search for the location yourself if needed as I cannot provide assistance. The files included in the .zip file are all the required files. I do not recommend you overwrite your base game files with the ones included in the .zip. Others in this thread have reported that Production Queue works fine in a multiplayer game, but all players must have the mod enabled. I believe this is a constraint of using mods in a multiplayer game. I hope this was sufficient to help you get started. Thanks for your interest!

There IS NO mods folder, there's a DLC folder, and that's STILL not where it goes. AND it does not appear in the "Additional content folder" in-game.

You only gave a UI file, which goes in base -> assets. If this doesn't work in multiplayer I'll be super sad :{

If you are using Windows, he gives the correct location for the Mods folder. It is not in the same place as the DLC folder.

I recommend not putting his file in base->assets. That will make it very difficult to remove the mod at any point.

Hmmm I'm sorry for not knowing that and if I sounded rude then :| I dunno how I forget we all have different operating systems.

I didn't ever find a mods folder, but doing what I said did get the mod to work for me lol

i'm using win 10, my civ folder has base debug & dlc folders ;x.. is that a different folder you mentioned? not the steamapps one? I didn't know we had 2 game folders for this one like civ 5 @_@

I just upgraded my machine to windows 10... here's the path to the mods folder with my real name replaced with the words 'YOURNAME'

C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods

It is exactly like Civ5. The game files are stored in "steamapps" in "Program Files x86" or whatever its called. In general, don't touch those when modding unless you absolutely have to (which some mods might need right now, since we don't have modding tools yet).

Your mods go in the My Documents folder -> My Games -> Civ6 -> Mods. Put them in their own folders in there if you want things neat, but you don't have to. It might help avoid other mods trying to overwrite each other, though.

Wow I feel sooo stupid, I deeply apologize haha and I am very grateful for all of your help.

Be careful with whatever you did to the base files! Someone might have to give you a copy of the original files so you can undo your change. Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling (or verifying game cache on Steam) works, but sometimes it doesn't (Steam seems to remember the files you had before or something, its weird).

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT

Omg. I reinstalled my whole game yesterday and it had some mods in additional content that I could still use.

Well ****, what?! LOL...
