Actually, no, it is not "short-sighted" at all. It is the normal, expected method of determining if a player's turn is up. If when the game was being set up, someone recommended that that specific function be used as the norm instead of posting in this forum, then yes you could say that. But it wasn't, and thus you cannot. Also, just because you know about a thing does not mean that everyone knows about it. Yes, the long delays are annoying, but this one is on Koshling. Not me.
