Seconded. Your wallet will thank you, you'll have a lot of fun with friends getting into the games, and you can't beat never having to leave your couch for old school Nintendo and Sega games.
The one time I had to talk to Sony, I actually got good help, and they were generally helpful. This was for my PlayStation 2. Luckily, I have not had to talk to Microsoft about my XBox yet.
I love my XBox 360. Madden 08 looks absolutely amazing, every stadium looks like it does in real life, and the graphics look great on HD. Call of Duty 3 looks amazing as well. The demo of FIFA 08 I have has made me and my friend drool, literally, and I'm going to be first in line to get that. Also, Halo 3 looks good, and so does NBA Live 08. I love my 360, and I think I picked the right system.

Besides, the Blu-Ray itself makes the PS3 $500 cheaper than it should be.
I wouldn't bet money on that, (UMD, beta). Or you could say the Blu-ray made the PS3 $200 more expensive.

Just wait, in 5 years, the Xbox 720, and Wii 2 will be out, while the PS3 costs like $100 and controls the market.
Stop deluding yourself. The PS3 has so far been a massive failure since people generally would prefer to buy a 360 and a Wii instead since it costs roughly the same. It will take a miracle for the PS3 to control the market.
Except you can play most of those games on PC.

You know I don't own a PS3 right? Its just a theory that since other companies will move on, the PS3 will still be rolling. And if the PS4 comes out, the PS3 sales will be given a boost, look at the sales of the original PS after the PS2 release, and the PS2 after the PS3 release.

I have an Xbox 360. I've played all three consoles before and say that the Wii is the most fun for me. However, I despise the PS3. The price is far too much for the quality of the games. Xbox 360, better than PS3 and Wii for a little while onwards, because it has sooooo many games to choose from, and HALO 3!!!!!!

I have a Wii, and I've played Xbox 360. The 360 is great, but I prefer the Wii. I like the new controls and the new Metroid game is awesome along with Zelda and it has great party games (WarioWare, Mario Party 8, etc.) and some great classic games.
