I think Putin has image problem to this board of Russophobes and to young people. Putin joins a "Battle For Respect"! :O
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cm-4_G0koxU subtitled for you... but here is some more footage.
Original NTV coverage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yniX5ZISFc (all russian, but since this hip hop culture is alien from America, they use a lot of English words, like Break Dance, and most important, RESPEKT!)
And what it sounded like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hClntPzT1x8

:)

He looked like he thoroughly enjoyed that, and demonstrated his understanding of how break dancing works on many levels, yo. РЕСПЕКТ

You mean when he stands there like a lemon amongst the young people
But I like his demonstration of break dancing too, it is both vertical high and vertical low so it is hard to imagine break dance as having an component with a glass or a narcotics. :)
Lol he is winning the respect of this young person :crazyeye:

Wow he's so good, he doesn't even need music in the background!

ЧТО ЕСТЬ awesome
that is awesome

Putin looks incredibly uncomfortable. He realizes that he looks like a dirty old pedo next to supple teenage girls.

This does not say what you think it says.

I thought it was riotous.

The thread title is very misleading, though. :(

ЧТО ЕСТЬ awesome
that is awesome
The funniest comment :)
"Что есть"="What is"
"That is awesome"="Это круто"

Wow, he looked really out of place. I was hoping he was going to cut a little rug or bust out with the rhymes.

300 years ago, Putin would be one of the Great Czars, like Peter the Great, or Ivan the Terrible. High charisma, crazy levels of personal ability, memetic levels of badassery... Too bad in the modern world, he's just a slightly cooler tyrant.

Hear. hear!

Tyrant is quite an accurate assessment there, xchen.

I like Putin. I dislike his government.

I don't 'like' Putin or his idea of government, yet I am not a 'russophobe'. I think it typical of (certain) Russians to think of non-Russians as russophobes. (But let's not get into that now.)

There's still time to suffix him "Vladimir the Great." Or, in his honor, name future rulers something like: President Ivan V "The Putinator."
