Qu02 FFH2.34 Immo Illies

I agree with heading for Hunting ASAP. Once we have Hunting, this start is awesome for the Illians. Hooray for bonus food from cold tiles!

IIRC finding Letum Frigus gives a bonus to the Illians, right?

Moving the Warrior reveals...
MORE DEER!

The hut pop gets us 37 gold.

Some one casts for the horde during the first few turns, as the Clan of Embers are prone to do-

Oh, hey.

Unfortunately, the scout lands next to a Giant Spider very early..

I decide to raid a goblin fort on turn 30 and.....

Oh. Weak, as they say.

And over the next few turns, Miantioda manages to move next to an explorer and in turn a mountain pass guard... Oy vey, why did I explore the fort?

I saved at turn 48, but kept playing to see if the hill giant would enter borders and kill us...

Spoiler :
He doesn't. He's HN and can't enter borders.

So in short: I killed our exploration prospects, built a worker and researching Deering. I suggest AC next.

-Quotey (just played)
-Paulus UP
for 600 turns or however long he feels appropriate.
-ssmage ON DECK
-Krick
-reverend oats

well, at least we are not gonna get early rushed...
Damn Hill Giant. The worse thing is that it's heals 10% after combat, so two hunters won't kill it.

Where are we going after AC?

Agriculture?
Education?

To be honest, I have NO idea with this map.

Guys, I gotta drop out. School is really picking up. Sorry, I'll lurk though.

Think we should get Myst next for the early tech boost, then go agri.

The ritual is pretty expensive; I would wait a bit on it.

I played till turn 95, report will wait because I'm tired...

Highlights:
-The Giant is slain.
-Valledia showed up. (Amurites... Auric will love vengeance against them :D)
-Settler is ready to discuss a location.

Early on in the turnset we meet Valledia the Even, leading the Amurites. IIRC the Illians still have a bone to pick with the Amurites in particular, so she must die sometime in the future...

And of course, the RNG tries to screw me over once again. RNG Gods... WHY?

AC was discovered, and research on Mysticism was started.

Where are all those barbarians coming from??? Never seen that much, to be honest.

Spoiler :

Mysticism discovered, started on Philosophy. Of course, I immediately switched to God King.

Yeesh! These barbarians never do stop... All killed, one by one.

An odd suggestion from one of our advisors...

And Miandtioda is finally out of the way. We can explore once again! Woohoo!

We need to explore, and settle that second city. Problem is I don't see many great sites for it.

Suggested spots: 1S, 1SE of lair sign, or maybe 2E of the Ring of Carcer?

I like the lair sign spot. With the shrooms and all grasslands (eventually icelands) farmed we can work 7 hills if I'm adding right.

Quotey, i hope you mean 2S or 1SSW, because the lair sign is on the lair, not on the peak. Anyway, looking at the save, 1SSW is the best spot as a late/mid game prod city.(if we go towards BW/SAN as next techs.)(Shrooms can be worked by another city)

I like 2S of the pigs. Lots of grassland and some food. We should start trying to farm a unit to level 15 in order to free Brigit from the Ring of Carcer.

2S does look like a decent city, yes. If we settle that one we'll want AH, of course (maybe even let Philosophy be and research AH first?)

Don't have time to make a full report, but some info: Settled 2 citys and met Charadon (AOI COMPLETE) and Einion Logos.

save will come later (as i can't find it)
