does it mean the whole stack can heal while moving with one march unit in it or it's only the unit with march can heal while moving? can the unit with march promotion heal on that turn when he use up all its movement point?

The Unit Healing article mentioned earlier is very good.

For a shorter (and less informative) answer...

Put march on the units that want to heal, not on the unit that does the healing. March enables units to heal after they have moved. The Medic promotions just give bonuses to each unit's healing that can heal. It does not have any impact on who can heal.

In other words, the medic is not the one doing the healing. The medic is just there passing out band-aids to anyone who is eligible to heal themselves.

I played civ4 for 1.5 years before realizing I had this backwards  I never used march enough to make it work, but I always thought that my units didn't get healed when moving from city to city. I just figured the rate of healing was slower on the move and gave up on it as a promotion  Now I see its usefulness, but having every unit having to have it is a lot of city raider promotions I could've had :( I think it's best for gunpowder units where you only have combat promotions anyways. But I am also going to try early march stacks with Boudica :D

That's the thing about March and the same as with Commando, one unit with it is not enough. You really need a whole stack with it. Otherwise, you can't make the progress with the stack that the promotions could enable.

If I do give anybody March, it's a stack defender unit. I want that guy healed as soon as possible. I sometimes think about giving March to Great General units, but again, they need to be protected by a healthy stack.

Absolutely the worst use of March is to put it on Infantry. The next upgrade -- to Mech Infantry -- gets March free with every purchase.

I really like that explanation. :)

By the way, go to the thread preferably. The article in the war academy is old. You can find it in my sig.
