Questions & Answers

Cristo Redentor can't save you from "instability from transition to democracy". Other than that, yes.

Where is the control for the stability penalty for number of cities? I want to decrease it a bit for some civs.

PS: Also where is the 32 tile tolerance for red zone stability?

Stability.py lines #926-929 and lines #491-496 respectively. But it requires some programming to change these values for select Civs only.

If you wanna be able to tweak many/all Civs it would make sense for me or someone else to make a proper mod-mod for you, so that you'd be able to change these values for each player individually, like with some data structures in Consts.py or something.

K thanks I was mostly doing this for my Bro he doesn't have an account. I really wish I knew this stuff so I wouldn't need to ask.

So what is it your brother need to get done? Does he know any programming?

He just wanted to create the entire Soviet Bloc which involves lots of cities and red zones. It's good now. I might need to look at this stuff myself later however ;)

My own idea for this revolves around having the October Revolution take place somewhere in the world, followed by the international intervention from all "reactionary" nations. If the Red Army prevails then the world will be divided into a socialist and a capitalist block. The easiest way of achieving the blocks would probably be to make one of the Independent Civs represent each block respectively, and grant Open Borders to any socialist/non-socialist Civ. By this time the Native Civ would have played out its role, so it could be transformed into a Non-Aligned Nations block of its own. Or something.

Oh, and I also though of remodeling the Apostolic Palace into the Comintern. So it would probably be something like a 19-20th century mod-scenario, or something.

That's interesting. Maybe implementing diplomatic penalties for having the "wrong" civics (monarchies vs. republics in the industrial, democracies vs. fascists vs. communists in the modern age) instead of religious modificators would be a good start *makes mental note* ;)

Was just wondering, if there was a unique victory that referred to a particular city, ie France and Paris, Babylonia and Babylon, would it be ok to rename the city but keep it on ther same spot?

No, if the name of your capital is explicitly mentioned, it always means the tile you spawn on, unfortunately.

Thanks. I was wanting to play as France, but I never liked the sound of Paris, I prefer Lutece, which had been breifly used on and of in history, wasnt sure if this wold work though.

He was asking not if you could settle on a different spot but if you could rename the city. I would assume this is OK but haven't tried it.
You're right, I misunderstood the question, but I think my answer was still helpful by accident :)

Okay pretty much every time I Play Rhye's I end up with horrible stability, is there any general topic or any source of info on how to keep Stability up?

Yes. (And there is also a stability cheat in the last release. I actually wrote it and it got included in the patch. :D)

And you get to it how? (I have not noticed it, and I thought I had the latest release)

Firstly you have to enable the RFC cheat mode by pressing shift-alt-Q. Then you boost your stability by pressing shift-alt-S.
