what happens if multiple civilizations discover the same tech which founds religion in the same turn in simultaneous turns multiplayer game? who gets the holy city?

Hei! I am wondering if its possible to stop research in certain era, for example classical era, and then after getting bored of playing that same era unlock research till end of next era? etc..

I tried to do that by changing eras mods and then loading the same save again... but gues it doesnt work like that

What’s the downside to settling a city in a Floodplain?

Would you do it if it allowed good resources within your fat cross?

You mean settling it surrounded by floodplains or on a floodplain itself? In the latter case it destroys the feature, meaning that if the city was razed later on it would be just a boring old desert without the food bonus. Thus I really reeeeeaaaaly avoid settling directly on floodplains unless there is no other way or it's say the only tile with access to a Ocean Fish or something like that. Of course there are no hard and fast rules in Civilization 4, so it may prove actually beneficial in some cases, but those are simply too rare in my experience.

I suppose you could research every tech you can until one turn of completion and then switch to another and only finish them in quick succession once you want to advance to the next era.

If you want for everyone to stay in the same era you could remove all prereqs to techs of the next era in XML and add them manually via Worldbuilder (Player Options -> Add All Ancient/Classical/Medieval/whatever techs) once you are done.

The devs are all hardcore gamblers; they couldn't go with another solution than let's all make random with random events, huts, attribution of goodies in simultaneous MP, AI behaviors, etc.

Is the amount of unit supply cost different in neutral and enemy territory?

Does the Internet give the civ Future Techs or does it stop with Genetics/Stealth/Fusion?

How do you add Projects in Worldbuilder?

I tried a quick WB test to see if having the Internet would provide Future Tech 1 if two other Civs had it.
But the Internet is a Project and not available in the worldbuilder City Screen.

You have to do it in a text editor, such as Wordpad or Notepad. Right click on the wb save, and "open with" Notepad, for example.

You'll then insert a line of text under the team description... it should be something like
PROJECTS=THE_INTERNET or so. If you want to be sure about the syntax and placement of the line, open a wb save that you already built a project in. Then you can see the syntax for the project, and just copy it to the other wb save under the team/civ you want to have it.

(Didn't see a quick answers thread in the Creation and Customization Forum, so I thought I would ask here.)

I play some mods of BtS - mainly Legends of Revolution, Better BUG AI, and K-Mod. I also like playing larger-than standard maps (for example, CarterEarth, which is 192x120). These maps and mapscripts are modpacks as well, so to this point, I've only been able to play them with standard BtS.

My question is, is there a way to load a mod on top of another mod, so I could (for example) play a Giant Earth map with K-Mod? The option doesn't appear to exist when I attempt it.

Thanks.
