But you can not trade Gpt for Gpt

Really? I shall have a play with this tonight.

Epic Game refers to a non scenario game (unmodified). It is what you get if you click on New Game in the main menu. :) I think it is mainly used to differenciate between the regular game and scenarios in Conquests.

I have 2 questions... (btw, I got Civ3/Editor to work again!) I plan on making a scenario that only has 2 civilizations. How do I get rid of all of the others? My other question is that during re-installing I kept getting an error and it always was a sound file, so I just went for Minimum installation instead. Is it possible for me to copy the sounds from the Civ3 disk to the Civ3 folder to make the sound work and if so how would I do it?

For editing amount of civs:

Scenario, custom player data.
Scenario, scenario properties.
Then just adjust the amount of players to 2 :)

Regarding the sound file: I don't think it'll make a difference if you do that. The sound file is causing the error, thus it means it must be corrupt already, hence there's no point copying it straight off of the disk, as it still will still be corrupt/won't work.

That wasn't quite what I was talking about... Whenever I play scenarios they only let me pick from one or two civs. How do I make mine that way?

I have another two questions. 1. How do you make tech icons that you can download from these forums appear in the editor (like changing the icon of a normal tech like Bronze Working into an icon that you downloaded.) 2. The unit and city placement icons aren't in my editor. The civilizations are there and everything but they aren't. How do I fix this besides re-downloading? If you don't understand, here's a picture:

i know that domination win requires 66% of land taken. is there somewhere i can look to get the percentage of the world my empire is taking up?

Only if you're using Conquests. Cycle through the F# buttons.

As for custom graphics/maps, I know they can be used. Not being a Mac person, I can't tell you where to put them or how to use them, but I can suggest that you ask down in the CivIII - Macintosh forum. They have some sharp people there, who can get you going on the right path. :)

1: What's the difference between the two different kinds of sentry option?

--SSgtBaloo

Sentry wakes up the unit when any unit passes near it. So if you have a unit guarding a spot, you can sentry it and when that settler or worker comes around, or any unit you want to move with it, it will wake up automatically.

Sentry (Enemy Only) will only wake up when an enemy unit is nearby. Useful for attacking units that are with defending units and you want the to attack when an enemy comes near. Say you have two swordsman sitting with a pikeman that's defending an Iron resource, and then some other swordsman come to attack the Iron. If your swordman are Sentried, then they'll wake up when the enemy swordsman come into the tiles next to them.

nope, i'm on vanilla (no conquests for mac). seems dumb to omit that [a screen that displays proximity to victory conditions] from any version

I agree, it seems like something that would have been obvious from the start.

How come in Teturkhan's world map, the leader can be built as a unit ? is that intentional? and it doesnt require any tech to build?

@g_k - probably. I'm not familiar with that mod, but since it's a mod, it's a safe guess he set it up that way.

I meant the leader, it has 0 shield cost and i could build it in 1 turn with every city

The mod also has 2 leader units. The first one can be built by a majority of civs, the second leader can be built by the civs that couldnt build the first leader. I just need to know how to make it so that i cant build leaders.
