Double Your Pleasure. Did you check out Turner's link? It's a BIG mod, almost a completely different game!

Can anyone tell me if there is a resource that lists the number of turns required for a worker to perform any given type of job? (It would have to account for various terrain types, govts., industrious vs. non-industrious, foreign worker vs. home-grown worker, etc.)
Thanks

I think using a slave doubles time, replacement parts halves it, Democracy causes workers to work at 150%, Fascism (which is bad in real life!) 200%, and Anarchy 50%. If someone could post on the effect of terrain I would appreciate it.

What will the AI research next (Greece and Azteks)? Flight or Mass production?
With Mass production you are able to build Battleship, Carrier, and submarine.
With Flight you are able to build Airport, Bomber and Fighter.
I checked the link What will the AI research next?
Also, I thought that workers cleared jungle faster if you build a road first in the tile first -- or is this also incorrect?

Re: worker times
Thanks all. One thing, I thought it takes longer to mine hills and mountains than it does to mine grasslands or plains. Was this a mistaken belief on my part? Also, I thought that workers cleared jungle faster if you build a road first in the tile first -- or is this also incorrect?
Re-read the posts, already answered my question about hills and mountains. Still wondering about roads in jungles though... Thanks
I guess you are right. I chose to research Mass production but neither civ researched flight for 12-16 turns so I had to research it myself in the end. I researched a new tech every 4 turn.Originally posted by Lord Jimbob
according to alexman's thread, I would think it would be mass production b/c it gives 3 units and only has a base cost of 100. flight on the other hand costs 140 but only gives 2 units (which are worth sig. more than a city improvement).
YES it is incorrect, BUT the converse IS true!Originally posted by Bigfoot
