Does anyone know if there is/are some hotkey(s) assigned to opening the left tabs in the upper corner. Luxuries, great person generation etc. I know F1-Fx open some up but not all from the left side bar.

- What happens if I have defensive pacts with civ X and Y, and Y declares war on X?

- If I have a huge military, and are friends with both A and B, if B hates A, would be making a pact with A dissuade B from attacking them? IE: does it affect relations with civs other than who you are making the pact with?

1.) Your defensive pact with X comes into effect and you declare war on Y.

2.) Probably not, I'm not sure if the AI accounts for ally strength when deciding to attack someone.

Here is a question of my own: Is India's Unique Ability useful in anyway what-so-ever? Even founding a second city plunged me deep into unhappiness territory, and now having a war with an enemy is nigh-impossible unless I raze every one of their cities. It's terrible.

If you do the math, India's trait only starts becoming useful after your cities pass 6 population. After that, they give you 1 :c5happy: for every 2 :c5citizen:. So, unless you want to grow most of your puppets past 6 pop, it really isn't worth it for domination. This is all assuming you are playing on Gods & Kings, where they fixed the much-exploited courthouse bug.

Does Korea's UA apply to social policies like mercantilism (ie science boost for market, mint, etc..)?

can someone please suggest a good mod combo, i want a long lasting game with a good large/huge TSL earth map.

And pref a mod that stops all the civs nuking you as soon as they can!

If I have G&K, can I still buy the previous DLC packs that include all the Civs released in G&K, but only for the scenarios, Ancient World Wonders and Korea?

If I really like Civ 4, will I like Civ 5? I hear that vanilla 5 was really really bad. Has it gotten better? Good enough to spend money on anyway?

With Gods and Kings, it's a great game; don't be put off by the nay-sayers, they have a chip on their shoulder that is much too unhealthy. But there is a Gods and Kings demo out... Why not download it and see how you like it? :)

Oh, I wasn't aware there was a demo. I'm watching a video playlist by MadDjinn, but am admittedly having a hard time understanding the system. Does the demo have like a tutorial that helps outline the differences?

I also asked this question on here because google searches only produced stuff from a year ago before any expansions came out and everyone was saying to wait for them so I guess I'm mostly wondering if the growth of the game has met expectations.

The demo should be on steam. Sewrch for Gods and Kings and it should pop up.

I'm not sure if there is a tutorial, but in all honesty when you play there shouldn't be need for one. The core game is similar to Civ IV, and you'll pick up the rest with ease, I'm sure. Your advisors help you out as the play anyway. When you first accumulate faith for instance, your advisors will explain what its all about.
